I highly, highly recommend Metrowest Veterinary Clinic. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Philip Callahan for over 20 years, despite moving from the Orlando area 12 years ago. It is definitely worth the two hour drive to continue to receive superior and compassionate veterinary care. I have had three dogs that have “grown up” with this veterinarian, from puppy hood to those difficult and challenging end of life issues. Dr. Callahan is an exceptionally talented and conscientious vet who has always gone above and beyond to provide top-notch and compassionate veterinary care. Dr. Callahan is always extremely thorough in his evaluations and I have never known a medical professional (human or K9) who spends as much time as he does discussing his findings, explaining potential treatment options and most importantly, answering the multitude of questions that I always seem to have. I am a healthcare professional myself, so I can truly appreciate the extra effort it takes to prioritize relationships where the client’s input is valued and respected. Dr. Callahan is extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and incredibly gentle and loving with my dogs. My dogs love to come here almost as much as I do!! Dr. Callahan has a wonderful group of technicians and his front office staff is as friendly and professional as any place you will ever find. It can be very stressful dealing with the day to day problems of a dog with complex medical issues, but Dr. Callahan and his staff bring me great comfort in knowing that my dogs are treated like family and I know they are in the very best of hands. Love this place and these people!!

My dog of 9 years started having seizures and she was diagnosed by this vet with AIHA. After about 2 months, she started becoming extremely under weight, could barely move. They said she might have pancreantitis but wanted to charge me $500 just for a blood test. She was hospitalized for almost a week and wasnt getting better and i straight out asked the vet if she was going to make it because I was spending my life savings on her. They told me I could go on their payment plan so I was a little less stressed and come to find out its not a payment plan at all! Anyway, they couldnt answer me and couldnt keep her over the weekend because they closed so I decided to take her home. She passed away after a day and it was a shock because the vet didnt give us any indication this might happen. I basically paid $600 to keep her on life support for 4 days. I also purchased $180 worth of heartworm medication for her that they will not exchange or refund even though it hasnt been open that I will never use now. This vet is only out to take your money and doesnt care about your furry family members or your financial situation.

Very Satisfied with the service and staff. I spent $66.50 on unnecessary test and checkups at another place. Came down to "Metrowest Vet Clinic". Did not pay a penny. I was told by another clinic in the area that they could not remove the stitches and the surgery was done incorrectly. Not only did they remove the stitches free of charge they did it with a smile. I am very impressed with there service and staff, they have me as a customer. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I would personally recommend them to my friends and Family.

This review is in coordination with A Cause for Paws. I had an unfortunate experience with this dog organization and would not recommend dealing with them in any way, shape, or form. I received conflicting information from both A Cause for Paws and the front desk of MetroWest Veterinary Clinic. The work here might be decent, but there were too many fabricated stories between the clinic and a Cause for Paws. Because of the dishonesty and rudeness from the front desk and accusations from Dr. Callahan, I would not recommend the clinic.

Our family LOVES Metrowest Vet Clinic. Ive known Dr. Callahan for nearly 25 years, have worked with him at his clinic when he first opened and have entrusted him with the care of every single one of our furry babies throughout the years - and always will. I worked for veterinary specialists for over 10 years and have seen the difference between exemplary primary veterinary care and the lack thereof. Metrowest, Dr. Callahan and staff will always be the first clinic I refer friends and family to.

I take care of a street cat name Nick Furry and he got into a fight with something outside. He had never been to a vet and I was worried about how he would react. The MVC was absolutely incredible and Dr. Delmain made sure he was completely comfortable and happy. Nick Furry is as good as new and I strongly recommend Dr. Delmain and the MVC to anyone with pet needs. The place was immaculately clean and staff was friendly and professional. Thank you again <3

Dr. Callahan and his staff are the absolute best! They took such good care of my Chihuahua. He had to stay overnite and I think it was more traumatic for me than him. They called first thing the next morning to let me know how he did overnite and when I picked him up he was perfect! They even gave him a bath! The Doctor was so thorough in his exam and his techs and office staff are just as professional and caring. I will never go anywhere else!

Dr. Callahan and his entire staff are focused on providing the best vet care for my 4 legged family members! He is not only concerned with caring for my animal but it is extremely important to him that all of my questions have been thoroughly answered. He is kind and compassionate with my pet who is particularly nervous when he is in a new situation. With Dr. Callahans gentle way he actually likes going to the vet! Highly recommended!!!

I Decided not to get a blood test for my dog for international travel do to there lack of knowledge of the issue. She tried to charge me a appointment fee because they had to research the countrys rules even thoo I had the exact same paper work in hand of there rules. Doctor got real rude and said " you will be paying the appointment fee" so we argued back and forth till they told me to " just get out" ! Terrible service never will go back.

These people saved my cat Noels life last week, and I cant say enough good things about them. When Noel was poisoned by a lily leaf, the doctors and staff arranged to give her round-the-clock care. They even came in after hours on a weekend to give her needed treatments. While Noel was fighting her battle, they also gave me a lot of encouragement and support to keep my own spirits up. All vet clinics should be this good.

I have been going to Dr Callahan almost 17 yrs. For most of the visits it was routine check-ups. On the few occasions where there were serious issues or worse- having to put one of our dogs down, Dr Callahan and his staff were VERY compassionate and kind. I just had to put down my 13 yr old dog and today I received a beautiful sympathy card. I was truly touched by the gesture.

Dr. Callahan and his staff are among the best in the business! I cannot image a Vet Clinic that would take better care of our animals! They are loved and cared for with expertise, love, and kindness. They certainly go above and beyond to make every experience a pleasant one. Thank you for all you have done for each of our precious animals over the past 18 years!
