They are disorganized as in they do not organize appointments well or share the full amount of information when booking appointments. I took my dog there today after calling last week. He had a 9am office appointment which I requested after telling them I did not want him in the back all day long waiting to finally be seen. When I was going into the office, the vet tech then shared with me that the vets were in surgery in the morning and would not be seen until later in the day. I then requested to see if I could drop him off later in the day so that he isnt sitting in a cage all day. The tech then shared with me that the vets will be on triage and are unavailable in the afternoon. This sort of information would have been helpful in addition to other details more pertinent to our vet records and should have been shared in the first two phonecalls or even before I checked in. I understand other patients may not be as concerned about their dog hanging at the vets all day, my issue is that Banfield does not provide the same level of service or consideration as other vets. I book an appointment with my other vet they see us at that time and give us all the answers and information upfront and I dont feel like they are trying to (a) hide details from me which they could somehow extort for more money, or (b) they are poorly organized and managed. This experience has confirmed how wonderful my other vet in Castroville is because they truly care for every pet that comes in as individuals and they respect me and my time in the office appointments! I will not be returning to Banfield and will suggest to my friends and acquaitances to not use them either.

We were rather bummed at this place. We took our sweet little Min Pin who has been itchy and has patches of hair loss because of her itching and biting of the skin. And they diagnose her for the most part they said they believe it to be mites. And we agreed because we researched it on the internet and we knew for the most part we didnt see any fleas she has very thin hair as it is or short hair I should say. And they said they will cost 100 + something dollars. And thats because they had to test her. And that includes the one pill they were going to give her. And we said why cant you just give us the one bill if for the most part we know its mites. But they refused. So we did more research and bought her some shampoo for mites that are underneath the skin and shes really doing much better. Its not that we dont love our dog and wouldnt pay for her to have good health care but we really felt as if it was taking advantage of us. So very friendly people very nice but I just didnt feel as if they were taking care of my puppy without taking advantage of my wallet. Just my humble opinion.

I wold give the place a zero, the dr. Whom saw my sick dog was horrible. Could not tell me what was wrong with my dog. Started prescribing food and body washes for a vomitting dog ? On top of three driffrent medications . When I expressed to her I could not afford to pay for all of these medications at the time of the apt she then proceeded to tell me that "they are not a bank". I let her know I would be coming back the following day to pay and pick up these medications and if there were any home remadies I can do over night. She started again with them not being a bank and then told me "if I cant afford a dog then I need to take it to a shelter " . Ive bin a pet owner of my animal for the past 5 years and have never not bin able to provide for my animal. Nor have I bin treated so horribly by a vet. I defoently do not reccomnd this place

Muy mal servicio tuve con ellos a mi perrita por 7 años y no le atendieron una bacteria en los dientes y ahora está muy mala de sus dientes ha pero muy buenos para cobrar cubre muy poco nada más lo que ellos dicen medicina cubre muy poca y aparte corté la asueguranza y todavía se dieron el lujo de cobrarnos todo una año que por que se "renovó el contrcontrato " muy mal servicio y se portaron muy groseros

I gave this pet hospital 1 star only because the system doesnt allow me to give it 0 stars. My dog was sick and I was told that we could come in at 2:00pm as a walk-in. After sitting in the waiting room for 3 hours, I checked back with the receptionist who told me that they were so far behind that my dog would not be seen! Had I not checked I guess they would have told us this at 7pm (when they close). They scheduled us for the next day in which they called that morning to cancel because the doctor called in sick...I understand that doctors get sick too but there is not back-up plan! I tried to reschedule but...OMG...theyre booked for the next 2 days!!!
