Completely useless now that Dr. Dimov has moved on to another vet office. 3 visits 2 different animals 0 results, hundreds of dollars later. 3 visits described below. Before a saint pity us enough to disclose the location of Dr. Dimovs new practice. 1) We brought the pet in with a cough and even video recorded the cough in order to show severity and sound of cough. They shrugged a couple times, diagnosed as allergy, now 3 months later 3 different pets have this cough! They couldnt even diagnose a basic kennel cough. 2) Brought our dog in with a rash around his anus. Vet thinks its worms, which does happen, but is so rare it should not be his first assumption. After giving the dog a dewormer not only did his anus worsen but he began regurgitating, throwing up, and having severe diarrhea. 3) Brought dog in after bland diet wouldnt rid him of stomach problems. Vets new diagnosis is he might have swallowed something causing his blockage. After an clear x-ray we still had a dog with severe diarrhea and a clueless vet with no answer. They are very nice people at Alpine and extremely reasonably priced. But at this point I was ready to snap. Finally we found Dr. Dimov and made an appointment. When Dimov saw the pet with severe diarrhea the first thing he did was put on gloves to feel the inside of his rectum. 2 appointments with Alpine and not once did their vet check his anal glands or search inside for blockage near anus or feel around for a tumor. The way a vet should diagnose your pet is to begin with the most common cause of their symptoms and work backwards. So first he checked the anal glands, next he put him on a bland diet with antibiotics because he stomach bacteria could be overgrown after giving him the dewormer, finally he checked his poo for parasites. If none of this things pan out than they check with xrays and finally look for tumors deep inside. Turns out to be an overgrowth of stomach bacteria and developing an intolerance to his previous food. Why couldnt Alpine figure this out? Their missed diagnosis could have cost a neglectful pet owner their pets life. Our pet had such severe diarrhea and all Alpine could suggest is a bland diet. Years ago my neighbors pet died because Alpine didnt diagnosis the animals tumor in time. We dont go to a vet office for their name, we go for specific doctor. And even though we pay twice as much to see Dimov now, were actually saving mony by avoiding misdiagnosis.

Alpine Vet Hospital booked me an appointment for the next morning after I called on a Sunday, even though I had never been there before. My cat had impacted stool, which didnt qualify for the usual emergency clinics but needed immediate attention. Heres what happened: 1. Dr. Virk knew exactly what the issue was and what needed to be done (three other vet clinics over eight years still couldnt figure it out). 2. He never pushed any products or shots or food. In fact, its the first vet clinic Ive been in where I didnt see any products on display. They are there to get the job done. 3. He is the first vet who ever mentioned probiotics to me. My cat has a colon problem, and I had to learn how to deal with it from the web, as the other doctors just couldnt diagnose it. Probiotics is the longterm holistic approach. 4. He saw that a week earlier my regular vet had given my cat an expensive antibiotic shot that was counter-productive to her problem. He made it clear he wasnt going to repeat that mistake. 5. The overall team was professional. When I walk into a vet hospital, I want professionals who get the job done. Alpine has great techs who also double at the front desk. I like that. 6. The bill? Oh, just about a thousand dollars LESS than what Ive been previously charged for the same work. Dr. Virk and the Alpine Vet team is my new jam. Plus, I have one happy kitty.

Years ago my mom and I found an injured cat left on our front porch. She was hit by a car and had a badly injured leg, amongst other various injuries. She needed to have her back leg amputated. With her other injuries, it was hard to tell if she would make it through the surgery. I was maybe 5 or 6 at the time and had grown quite attached to that cat. Unfortunately she wasnt able to make it through the surgery. But I know that he did everything he could. Including performing cpr on this cat for 30 min before calling it quits. That alone is the very reason why I refuse to take my animals anywhere else but alpine. He truly cares about the pet and owner equally. Since then I have brought my cats and my mom and grandparents have taken their dogs to alpine. We have never been displeased with the service received, and I plan to continue to use alpine for a very long time.

I would recommend Alpine Vet Hospital to anyone I know. Theyre an amazing staff, kind and professional as well as very good at what they do. I have 4 cats and each one has gotten into something that required surgery or intense blood workup. As stressed as one becomes over the health of ones pet, in addition the cost also weighs heavily also. However, the 5-star service does not come with an over-priced price tag. Theyre are very reasonably priced which is great for multiple-pet owners such as myself and I can get amazing care for my cats without going broke. Compared with everyone I talk to, the service, experience and prices of Alpine are the best! I truly recommend them and may all your pets stay healthy and safe :)

1) Very Expensive, especially the medications. 2) ??? They gave our small dog antibiotics that would be too big for me to swallow. We then had to cut up the pills so they could be swallowed. FACT: there are smaller options available. 3) Uncaring. The ladies at the computers always seem distracted and not very helpful. 4) Low quality of care. Our dog was attacked by another dog and required stitches. I think it was 2 weeks later we went back to have them removed. Everything seemed fine but the wound wouldnt completely heal. We took this precious little pup to another vet and he removed the problem "2 MORE STITCHES". This caused us to have an additional cost. Low quality....... 5) Good hours. They have extended hours.

Cant complain about the vets but staff is terrible. Seems like they dont communicate with vets. Dr. Virk called to discuss my dogs situation and prescribed meds that could be picked up that day. Called to make sure med was ready but nothing until next day when they called about an existing med. I asked about the new one and they seem clueless. I had to explain. 10 minutes later they said med was ready. Also, went in for an appointment and waited awhile to check in at desk but the 2 staff were too busy training on the terminal. Also, tech did not draw enough blood to complete tests so had to return next day. This place has gone down hill. Will look for new vet.

Another outstanding visit with Dr. Virk who carefully examined our precious older dog GiGi, advised worsening major dental issues, performed complete extraction surgery, and later released her to us with detailed instructions for follow-up. GiGi is recovering beautifully and looking forward for the rest of her life to her delicious home prepared semi-liquid diet. Besides his skill and knowledge of veterinary medicine, the things I appreciate most about Dr. Virk are his integrity and respect for his clients "point of view". I have recommended all my friends and neighbors to Alpine Veterinary Hospital over the years. Again, GiGi thanks you Dr. Virk!!!
