Horrible 3 week Ordeal This place is all about how YOU can help THEM I called on a Saturday to find out they dont take walk ins This is the first Vet place I found open on Saturdays that doesnt do this I, the customer took their fax # & contacted my other vet to have records transferred. They knew I was doing this but didnt contact me to let me know they never received them. I had 2 cats to take to them. I was 20 min late late for my 1st scheduled appt because I had trouble getting cat # 2 in her carrier. I let them know right away when I arrived & was told now they could only see 1 of my cats. Also I would not be allowed the 20% 1st time discount on the 2nd cat. So I re-scheduled for both of them. THEN I found out they didnt have the records anyway. Next I received a message that if there were any problems keeping my appt let them know. I called & inquired about the records. They still didnt have them; they would try to get them by the end of the day Friday. I asked them to contact me & let me know because otherwise I would need to re-schedule again. No follow-up call. Sat am I called to see did they have the records. NO but if I re-schedule they want to charge ME up front because it cost the Dr. money for all these cancellations. I told them they should have worked with me last week on their 20% advertisement and their dr would already have some $. Their idea of customer service is that you do everything their way and they dont need to accommodate you at all All this just so I could get my cats updated on their shots. They are all about the $$$$$$$$$.

I have two senior dogs - one 11.5-yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a 9.5-yr old Weimaraner. The Rhodesian Ridgeback had both hips surgically-repaired at 1 yr old due to hip displaysia, and I was warned she would develop arthritis in those hips when she got old. When her first arthritis symptoms started this year, we started acupuncture treatments at Sierra Vet Clinic, and she improved after the very first treatment. After just three treatments, she was completely pain-free, running like a young pup. She now just needs maintenance treatments every 6-8 weeks and is good to go. So, when our senior Weimaraner started having incontinence (urine leaking) due to old age, we decided to give acupuncture a try for that, too - and it worked! She stopped leaking after just two treatments, and only needs "tune-ups" every 6-8 weeks as well. We are so lucky to have a holistic vet - Dr. John Lindsey - on-staff at Sierra Vet Clinic so our dogs can receive drug-free solutions to these ailments!

I have taken my dogs in and seen all three of the vets at this office. Dr. Lindsey was ok. But he misdiagnosed my pure bread pug with mange and told me the only way to prevent another outbreak was to get him fixed so I did. Then he had another outbreak a few months later and I took him to a different vet which said it was an allergic reaction and that I didnt need to get him fixed. I then took my two other dogs to see Dr. Paterson who was great! I have no complaints about her. But when I had to return to get them the rest if their vaccines Dr. Paterson was busy (even though my appointment was scheduled with her) we saw Dr. Damron who was awkward and does not know how to give injections gave both of my dogs blood clots at the injection cites. It has been a few weeks and the clots have gone down and are not as hard as rocks any more but they are still there. The only vet at this clinic that I recommend is Dr. Paterson. Stay away from the others.

I took my pet to Sierra due to not eating and constant gagging. They ran a lot of expensive test and immediately wanted to send her to a specialist in Sacramento. They actually said that if I did not do something immediately that she would not survive. Scared, I left with her and made some phone calls locally. I found another vet who could do the same procedure but when i called Sierra they said they did not recommend him. I took the chance and went the next day. They reviewed the labs and x rays, performed an exam , told me they could see nothing wrong with her. Go home and feed her, her favorite treat and see what happens. I did exactly as they said. She ate the tuna and then wanted her food again. It has now been over six months since we left Sierra for Village Vet and it was the best move we ever made.

Terrible! Our dog, seen by these vets on multiple points in past, cut her foot badly. We brought her in, bleeding, obviously needing care soon. After waiting for the desk attendant to finish selling dog treats to other customers, the attendant finally went to ask the vet if she could be seen. To which he said they had no time. We went to Rosemarie vets; they saw her right away and scheduled the needed surgery (back left pad was sliced, front left leg cut) within two hours. Very happy with Rosemarie s care. Will never go to Sierra again, even though they are by far the closest to our home. I might understand if we were complete strangers, but we were returning customers. Sierra seems all about making easy money for easy work! Dont waste your time if your pet needs real care!

Dr. Luckars is always friendly, professional, knowledgeable with us. He takes time to explain our pets current situation and to guide us toward wiser ways of attending to our pet. I appreciate his excellence in care. Yesterday Dr. L. had me stay seated with my dog; he himself sat down by us to complete the injections our pet needed. Because he was relaxed, our dog remained relaxed, too. So, nice....so easy. The entire staff, vets and more, are delightful folks. While our pets are sometimes nervous, we are at ease knowing our pets are receiving the best medical care. Staff is always professional. Nice.

This is my first time owning a puppy and I was nervous about how to take care of him. My first appointment at Sierra Veterinary Clinic was amazing. The Doctor Knew it was my first puppy and took his time explaining what I should expect and how to take care of him. I have been back to the clinic three more times for my puppys shots and it has been a great experience every time. I highly recommend this clinic because they are patient and kind and they were great with my new puppy. They are also really great about texting me and emailing when his appointments were coming up. Great experience.

I love Sierra Veterinary Clinic for care when ever I need it for our beloved fur baby, Jackson. Dr. Yao is wonderful with him and so very knowledgeable at treating all kinds of furry pets. They have gotten him through a few scary illnesses and hes now very healthy and active. He had a small cut on his pad under his toe on his left paw....I had treated it was cleaning it and Neosporin before we were able to get in and it really helped start the healing process. Dr. Yao provided antibiotics and now hes good as new. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Sierra!!!
