Unpleasant odors. Menu choices hard on digestion. Beds are ancient and dont promote good body mechanics for residents or staff. There are 108 residents. 1 CNA to 28+ residents, at night 1 CNA to 40 residents. Never enough staff scheduled even though there are enough employees. Residents w/ psychological disorders, dementia, alhzeimers that frequently become combative w/ other residents, try to elope regularly, wander into rooms and take others possessions are living together w/ residents that dont have these issues. Staff isnt trained to handle their special needs and no activities or programs are designed to engage these residents. Chaotic environment for residents and staff. At shift change the employees cut corners on care, safety, sanitation because they are anxious to leave.

Pacific Care Center is a horrible nursing home. Do not let their phony website fool you. When you enter you can immediately smell urine and feces as well as when you enter the dining room where residents eat. At mealtimes mentally alert residents are forced to dine with residents who often exhibit inappropriate and unappetizing behaviors. They do not have enough staff to adequately care for the needs of the residents. Residents are not showered consistently and sometimes go for a week or more without being bathed. Transfers and lifting of residents is not done safely for residents or staff. When they know the state inspectors are coming they suddenly find enough staff. Staff are instructed to not say anything if asked about the staffing issues.
