Long Meadows

My Mother is a patient here and currently going thru rehab, both OT & PT. I live over 2000 miles away and was concerned about the level of care that my mom needed after being discharged from the hospital. To say that I was beyond surprised and relieved upon my 1st visit here is an understatement. Although at 1st glance my impression was of a sterile institutional place, my feelings soon changed when I saw the level of COMPASSION from all of the staff and not only for my Mom, but for all of the residences. PT & OT therapy teams knew my Mom by name and her history without having to look at records, that proved to me that she was not just a number or a folder, but they truly did not know all about her long history and were in it for the long run. I would recommend this place without a moments hesitation. Once I got over my "high horse" about the looks of the place and truly concentrated on what was most important (level of care) I can honestly say that I was happy to eat crow about my 1st reaction. I hope this helps others when you are looking for top notch care for your loved one...I know I feel better as I sit here 2000 miles away

We love the staff of caretakers, physical therapists, and managers at ManorCare in Dubuque. This is our second parent to enter into their doors and leave in much better shape than we anticipated. I love the “menu” set-up for meals where the patients can order what they want. It is by far the best rehabilitation place in Dubuque, if you want to get your life back!

The best My mom been here twice. The staff is great, always nice and helpful. Their always friendly. The meals are great, l get their meal tickets to be sure shes getting the right foods, and she is. Big thanks to all the staff. Thank you.
