Making you even question yourself ,more abuse from staff patients aloud to scream on phones smoke breaks asualt . I lived it thought i enterd twilight zone , Hell on earth . I even was assaulted. By another patient that was put in the quite wthen aloud too come and go just as if she was in a regualet room. They didnt move me until i got help from an unexpected patient that let them know she was there to watch and that she seen what they had done yo me that i better be released because she had enough evidence on that place and at that point everything for me changed i told them i would sie if i wasnt transferred to a different unit imiditly and i was doon after releaded.Staff even questionable. . Nurses nearly impossible to talk to . I like many of u tried to tell what was going on but lets just call it what it is your in there maybe for nervous break down so your family thinks u just want to get out they have no idea because if they really ever could know what kinds of mental and physical torture they would get you out but its hard enough for us to believe this really could have happened so we all need to stop the insanity that is going to continue not just live with the ptsd that is the result from there.Im scared of ever going to the hospital again. I have endured a chronic and recurrent mental illness for near two decades; requiring multiple hospitalizations. Of the local hospitals that I have been admitted, CenterPoint Hospital has undoubtedly been the most beneficial inpatient experience of my brief life. From the psychiatrists to the nursing staff to the medical technicians even unto the janitors, CenterPoint Hospital is simply wonderful; a loving institution filled with empathy and compassion. I have not been compensated for this review, and this is my own honest opinion. I simply cannot praise CenterPoint Hospital enough. If ever again I require inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, I know where to go. The present staff genuinely shares a profound and healing love for their work, and patients. If ever you need psychiatric inpatient care, do not hesitate to admit yourself to this institution; you will be better for this decision. The nurses and technicians therein will immediately halt any work, and offer their undivided attention. You will be loved at CenterPoint Hospital. I highly recommend this institution, and I assure that you will be better for your stay. If you genuinely seek self improvement and change, this hospital will assist. Of the Google Reviews I have read, the only patients who seem disgruntled are those, who resist change, and seek prescription narcotics. CenterPoint Hospital is a great institution, that will do anything and everything to improve your life. May God bless CenterPoint.

I was a patient here when I was 14, 3 years ago. I was admitted at 2 in the morning, & they forced me to do assements on my mental health then rather than in the morning. I was a teenager, meaning I should be in the adolescent area. There was no room so I was put with young children, after 2 more days, 3 other teenagers were put in the childs unit also. Both children & adolescent units were forced to be awake at 5 in the morning to speak to the doctor. This man is someone I truly will never forget, he didnt really give you a chance to express how you felt, but just tried to say something was wrong /w you to make a quick buck & put you on meds, cause I believe in his head he didnt understand the true meaning of physiology. The food was great, but I was there only about 2 weeks & gained 30 pounds due to lack of exercise exerted. Eventually I was put into adolescents, there we had hours that we were forced to spend in our room, on our beds . There were scensors if you moved, it felt like jail.. I didnt feel like they were trying to help my mental health, all I had to do to leave was say I wanted to go home & I got my mom to get me. Sometimes this experience still gives me nightmares

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. First, my daughter was in their outpatient program for self-injury. What a waste of time. Then, last week, she was having a really hard time and I brought her to the hospital. First, they took us back into a room to await admission, and 3 hours later I called the outside line and they had no idea we were even there. They finally admitted her at 1:30am. When I called her the next day, she was miserable, intimidated, bullied and the staff was not sympathetic to her needs. I called the nurses station and told them I was coming to pick her up. I offered to bring her to another hospital if they were uncomfortable about discharging her. When I got there, they told me that the doctor on call would not discharge her, but would not get him on the phone for me to talk to him. I told them that I was not leaving without my daughter. They told me that they would take her into protective custody and call the police ON ME if I continued to protest. Fortunately, her psychiatrist discharged her a couple of days later. My advice...STAY AWAY FROM CENTERPOINTE.

Although the hospitals methods of treatment may not be as primitive as places such as Bedlam were, a numerous amount of questionable things did occur at CenterPointe. The most prolific of these atrocities I witnessed upon my brief yet traumatizing stay was the staffs abusiveness towards patients. These so called "professionals" are anything but certified caretakers of the mentally ill. In the staffs eyes the patients were merely animals, not humans. They regulated in a despotic manner when you could stand, and when you could sit. They roomed male patients with female patients with little to no regard for the inmates safety; and most of all, there were no form of checks or balances, the staff punished people whom they disliked with solitary confinement or unit restriction. Their was no superior to decide if these arbitrary punishments were overly callous, only the pure will of cold-hearted individuals akin to Nazis dictating those unfit to care for themselves made the decisions. Please, for the sake of your loved ones, DO NOT send them to CenterPointe hospital.

DO NOT under ANY circumstances send your loved one to loved one to Center Pointe. They are merely churning people through with no regard for their safety or underlying issues. They are not experts in the field of addiction or psychiatry or anything else. There is fraternization, NO communication with the family and they do NOT do a complete assessment of their patients. Once your loved one is in their care, you lose nearly all contact and you have NO knowledge of any dangerous psychotropic medications they start them on. The program is only 2 weeks. Not enough time for anything to happen except detox. How they can call themselves a treatment program is beyond me. STAY AWAY. My daughter was allowed to leave with a patient she met there, without her familys knowledge and a cache of scripts of some of the most toxic psychotropic medications known. She was dead only a few days later.
