I was staying with family and fell ill. My husband had a almost identical set of symptoms the previous week so I had a good feeling i would need antibiotics.I know some urgent cares can get a bad rap but we love the one by our home so i went ahead and tried it out. Right off the bat, the receptionist refused to tell me if they accepted my insurance. I had to call my customer service line directly while sitting in the office. I had tried to look before i came in but they dont list their providers online. While the delivery and request was a bit of a red flag, I just felt awful, so I did it anyway. What bothered me is that when my Customer Rep asked me to ask them for an estimate (they bill through the hospital and not as a clinic and therefore get to have a higher bill which applies to your deductible instead of a quick co-pay) the receptionist proceeded to type everything in to figure it out?!?! Why couldnt we just have started there? This whole process took about 20 minutes. I went in and sat down. The tech was wonderful. The nurse was wonderful. The nurse practitioner who came in was also lovely. However, she tested me for flu pretty much immediately after i described my symptoms. I allowed it because of nerves alone I think but i was pretty sure i didnt have it. Came back negative (honestly i was happy to pay for that sigh of relief). She proceeded to start telling me to just go home and rest... that sinus infections take 7 days to really classify so I would need to wait and see... that it just appeared to be viral. When i again, relayed my symptoms, along with the fact that im prone to sinus infections that hit quickly and hard, and the fact that my husband had been recently diagnosed with something similar and received antibiotics which helped, she sighed and said she would give me amoxicillin but it wouldnt do anything. I had told the tech and nurse that was the one antibiotic that did nothing for me so i agreed with her and asked for a z-pak. I got another presentation about how it probably wouldnt help but she did it anyway. Day 3 and im feeling 90% better as you would expect with a sinus infection :( I really dont like giving bad reviews but since I look to them before I visit doctors im not familiar with I wanted to help people out. Im not sure I will be visiting this facility again. Nor do I feel i would recommend it. Hopefully when the bill comes in I wont be writing another review. I did get an estimate though and like i said, i walked away with antibiotics that DID help me feel better. So while a bad experience, they did give me the outcome i was looking for. It was just a LONG road to get there, especially when you feel miserable! Best wishes to those who are considering. I hope you have a better experience than me!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in today during my lunch break from work around 12:30PM for chest/heart pain. I was told it would be about an hour and a half wait and was given an "Emergency" band. After waiting about 2 hours I was taken back for a few minutes to have my vitals checked to make sure I was stable, the nurse was very rude and seemed to not want to be there. After that I was taken back to the waiting room and waited another hour and a half only to be told again that it was going to be a long wait time. I let the receptionist know that I had to be back to work at 3:45 or I would lose my job, she showed no compassion and wouldnt even look in my general direction. At 3:25 a lady came in and was taken straight to the back all while a few others and myself that had been there for HOURS were still waiting. At 3:30 I went to the receptionist saying that I needed to go clock out at work and I would come right back and wanted to know if I could come back inside and half my spot since its been so long, she told me that I had to be back within 20 minutes or the doors would be locked on me and I wouldnt be let back in. After informing her that I had been there again for 3 hours and had chest pain and would be fired if I stayed she didnt show any kind of compassion once again and didnt even give me an Im sorry. This practice is very unprofessional and doesnt seem to know how to treat patients. I ended up going to the ER and got looked at right away and sent home within 2 hours.

Im relatively happy with my doctor, Dr. Barnhill, so far. Ive only seen her twice, but she has been pleasant and caring. The overall service from the office staff, however, is sub-par at best. If you call around noon, you will receive a message telling you they are in a staff meeting and then promptly be disconnected. There is no opportunity whatsoever to even leave a message, so your only recourse is to keep calling over and over again until such staff meeting is over. Its the same for after hours. Its very frustrating. Then, when you do reach someone, you feel instantly as if youre disturbing them from something much more important. They are curt and often not friendly at all. Its very sad.

I like the people there, themselves. Theyre nice and helpful and I can usually get in and out of there much faster than the Patients First in Washington, MO or the E.R. However, I have had them bill me twice for a nebulizer, and have been greatly inconvenienced by their inability to post the correct hours on their website. I came in on a Saturday, at 8:15, and they were not open when the website says open 8-8. I drove 40 minutes to discover this. They need to post correct hours on their website or learn how to open on time. Oh, and posting their holiday hours online rather than just their front door would be fantastic, too.

Dr. Karr nailed my issues perfectly. He truly understood just how miserable I felt and prescribed everything necessary to help me feel better as quickly as possible without making me "wait for the antibiotics to do their job." I was there when they unlocked the door so in and out in just under an hour ... an exceptionally long time when youre barely able to function but not excessive under other circumstances and considering they called in prescriptions so those would be ready when I got to the pharmacy. Exceptionally clean facilities and friendly staff.

Care was sufficient, but I went in under the assumption that this "urgent care" facility was like most urgent care facilities where it is a non-emergency center as well. I got billed $270 for them to do a urine test for a Urinary Tract Infection because, I was told, they classify all their visits as an emergency. When I called the parent company, Mercy Hospital Washington, they would not budge on the visit type as being classified as "emergency". So I recommend you not go there for more minor issues - strictly emergency matters. Linda Mathson

Took my fiance there for a possible fractured foot tonight and they seemed to lack compassion and their quality of care wasnt the best. They seemed like they just wanted to go home. They spoke to us with the door wide open twice which is against HIPAA policy, I myself work for BJC and was very suprised. When the doctor came in with the door open she said, its not broke but didnt say what it was, I had to ask if it was just a contusion. The plan of care was poor as well. We wont be going back again as we felt we were a bother to them.
