I had the worst experience with this dentist. When I walked into the office I firmly said if it was not covered by insurance don’t do the procedure. I came in for a routine cleaning that was covered by insurance. When I was ready to leave they informed me that there would be an additional charge (not covered by insurance), for a deep cleaning called periodontal cleaning which I never asked for. I argued with the office assistant and explain I wasn’t informed and refused to pay the difference. The next morning a crown on my front left tooth became loss from this cleaning and fell off. I called the dentist and was told to come in to repair the tooth. When I arrived on time, I had to wait over 30 min while she ate lunch at 3:30pm. I explained to her that the periodontal cleaning had loosened the glue on the crown and it would need to be re-glued. She looked at the tooth she said that I would need an X-ray and that something was wrong if the crown fell off. I informed her that the tooth was dead and had already had a root canal which could clearly be seen on the x-ray she already had, then I refused the x- ray. She became very unprofessional, yelling and screaming at me and told me to take my tooth and get out of her office. I went to my old dentist and he put the tooth back in place in ten minutes and said there was no need for an X-Ray. This is the first time I have ever done a review but I feel it was necessary.

My family has used Dr. Nworkorie for over five years now and I have recommended her to friends. The office is high tech and staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Nworkorie is very gentle, attentive and very thorough. My eldest daughter used to be a nervous patient, but not anymore. Dr. Nworkorie has helped us through what we thought was a dental emergency (one of our childrens mouths swelled up but as a result of a tree pollen allergy) and has stayed after hours to put in a filling when we were not able to come back the following week. I am suprised to read the first review as we have had some out of pocket expenses but have always been told they would not be covered along with the cost and the option to proceed or not.

I can honestly say that Dr.Ifeoma Nwokorie and her entire staff are the best in the business of family dentistry. I was terrified of all dentist and after being recommended to the practice after dealing with a very bad toothache, she restored my confidence. I am a regular client of the practice and what I really appreciate is that if she cannot slove the issue she will referr you to a specialist that is also very good at making the fears and concerns not an issue. I would recommend her to all my friends and family members.

Northern Westchester Dental always takes me promptly at the time of my scheduled appointment. The staff is professional, and courteous in the office or on the phone. All services, and costs are clearly explained to me before any procedure is done. Since I have been a patient of NWD the past three years, my teeth and gums are back to perfect health.
