For 7 or 8 years, I was just a giant spasm. My muscles throughout my torso were constantly locked up, and the slightest thing (and sometimes none at all) would cause jolts of pain. I tried a not-very-helpful DC for several years, several rounds of PT (meh!), acupuncture (a few hours of mild relief) and 2 epidural injections (no help at all). The physiatrist who administered the injections said my next step, at 50 years old, was to remove my bulging disc and fuse the L4 and L5. No thanks. So I bought ibuprofen by the truckload and resigned myself to using handicapped parking. "This is my life now," I thought. A friend recommended I visit Russell Charno, and Im glad I did. He restored 70% of motion to me in my first visit. That is not an exaggeration. Whereas I couldnt limp through the parking lot at the end of my workday before, I have now been going to CrossFit for 3 years. This is my life now, thanks to Russell Charno.

Im a big believer in chiropractic preventative care and have been under the care of many practitioners for the past 30+ years. Dr. Russell Charno has an intuitive sense, listens intently, and genuinely cares about his patients health. I can recommend Dr. Charno with great confidence and state that he is the best chiropractor I have ever come across. If you are reading this and contemplating an adjustment with Dr. Charno, do yourself a favor and see him now, you will be very happy you did. He is greatly missed here in Sea Cliff, NY.

It is rare to find a chiropractor who listens so intently and carefully—both with his mind and his hands. Russell is attentive, gentle, and patient with my curiosity and my desire to understand whats going on in my body. He has also given me a number of functionally oriented exercises to supplement my treatment at home. He takes a lot of time, too...appointments are anywhere from 40-60 minutes! I have been to at least a dozen chiropractors over the years and he is by far the best.
