Cecil Chandler

Hello everybody my name is Cecil Chandler and I just had to take time to write something about Dr. William Altman of Surfside Beach after my recent visit to his office. When I moved here from Darlington 14 years ago I had to find a dentist and someone told me about Dr. Altman. Well let me tell you he is the most professional dentist I have every been associated with. He takes time to explain everything that you need to have that perfect smile. The smile is so important especially to me since I do a noon TV show everyday on WPDE TV 15. Every once an a while no matter who you are someone is going to say something bad about you but let me tell you Dr. Altman is the best and the nicest guy you will every meet. He does not pressure you into doing anything unless you want to. If someone says something bad about Dr. Altman tell them. Oh yes did I tell you he is also a "sharp" dresser.

Absolutely horrible! Ive had multiple terrible experiences with Dr. Altman and his staff and I will never go back. Dr. Altman himself created issues with my perfectly healthy teeth through his experimental cosmetic practices that would have never existed if it werent for his unprofessional dental work. Ive seen other dentists that take one look at what Dr. Altman has done and question not only why the work was done so poorly, but also why the work was done in the first place. Along with his non-existent sympathy for patient care, Dr. Altman is a lackadaisical dentist and I highly recommend going to someone else for proper dental care.

My teeth are in worse shape now after spending over $7500 at Dr. Altmans office. I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get them to attempt to repair the damage but now that some time has passed, the work performed did even more damage. There is decay behind the new fillings. The new crowns dont fit. A couple of my fillings have cracked and fallen out. I dont dare return to his office for more of the same! In my opinion, his office has refined their money making skills but not the dentistry.

Dr Altman told me I had to spend $1700 to get my wisdom teeth pulled immediately, then prescribed me with a bunch of antibiotics and steroids. Sounded funny to me, so I got a second opinion. Turns out I only had a slight gum infection, and dont need my teeth pulled, or the steroids. I felt like all his office was trying to do was get my money, and I found him to be very unprofessional. Wont be going back.

I go to Dr. Altmans office for my dental work. Up until 4 years ago I was slack on my teeth. Dr. Altmans office fixed my problems, in one day!!!! I go now regularly to get my teeth cleaned. It only makes sense that if you invest in money for you mouth you continue the proper maintenance. His office was honest and fair. I never had any problems or questions about prices.

All of the staff are very nice. They really take their time and make sure all of the work is done correctly. Dr. Altman is one of the best around. He truly cares about his patients! I would recommend Dr. Altman and his staff to anyone apprehensive about major dental treatments.

Dr. Altman has such a gentle touch I have a great fear of dentist and he pulled my wisdom teeth with no pain to me and I was able to still work a full day after he removed them, his staff his great! Would recommend him to all my friends and family.
