I went in after I had chipped a tooth, to see if anything needed to be done about it, and to get a cleaning. I thought the dentist seemed pretty good, and the cleaning was fine. I had a couple of cavities, and they said they could fill them. So they put on the initial numbing gel, before the shot, and told me to hold it there for a couple minutes. Then they came back and informed me that they were behind, and that I would have to wait 2 hours if I wanted my cavities filled that day, or I could come back another time. I chose to come back rather than sit in the office for 2 hours, but only after I had been numbed unnecessarily. The clerical staff there is completely inept. After setting my new appointment they started calling me to confirm my appointment for completely different times, and I had to correct them repeatedly. Then, after I went back and had my cavities filled, they called me ON MY WAY HOME to confirm I had an appointment for later that day. I was literally still numb from when I had JUST LEFT THEIR OFFICE. I paid my bill on my way out, so that my balance would be settled right then. I later received a bill in the mail, which I then had to call them about, and they admitted it was just a mistake. I resolved never to go back there again. And then today (the reason Im writing this post now), A YEAR after I was last there, they send me another bill asking for payment. I had to call them again to inform them of the mistake. It wasnt that it was difficult to get them to fix it, Im just furious that because I made the mistake of going there one time a year ago, Im still having to deal with their screw-ups. So to summarize, like I said earlier, I had no real problem with the quality of the dentist or nurses, but they are extremely disorganized and their clerical staff is a joke. Dont go here unless you want to be dealing with these people for years to come.

Worst and most traumatizing experience of my life! DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!! They are only after your money and are not compassionate or caring! They ruined my mouth and I had to go to a GOOD dentist to fix the damage they cause by drilling into my nerve and leaving me in crying pain to where I was scared something was wrong. The dr was rough and jammed the needles in my jaw and moved them around which left a huge knot still in my jaw months later. They destroyed my mouth and were extremely filthy! I saw a nurse rinsing utensils in water and rebagging them as I was waiting to get out... it scared me so bad... this was the worse experience with a dr. In my entire life! I should have sued them! If you value your body or your life or even your family NEVER use this dentist!!! I had to quickly find a good dentist to fix the damage they done and I will say you pay for quality. I payed 2k fixing their damages to my mouth. Gateway family dentistry is the best dentist I have ever had in my entire life!!! Super clean super friendly and the Dr does everything she can to make sure you are 100% comfortable before you leave that office and they are all very friendly and dont judge you. You get what you pay for this place is total garbage! They should have had to pay for my procedure done by a good dentist that had to work with a patient that was completely traumatized and scared to death because of this garbage facility. I dont even know how they are open! Places like this ruin people with dental work. GO TO GATEWAY!!!

I have been to this office several times over the last few years and always loved it. Today I went for a basic cleaning and almost 5 hours later my jaw is still throbbing. The dental assistant felt like she was carving her name in my teeth. Ive NEVER had a problem with anyone here before, but I had also never seen her before. She used some new tool that felt like she was cutting at my gums. Never had that before and it sucked! I almost gripped the chair at one point. It felt more like I had dental work done than just a cleaning. She also kept making comments about my "previous work" so on and so on...its been over a decade since Ive had to have any "work". Then a quick peek inside my mouth from the dentist and I was quickly pushed out the door...no one waiting at all when I left and no "do you have any questions?". Im sure they were just trying to be accommodating to me and my work schedule, but it felt like I was annoying them. I hate to say it but after that I will probably have to change dentists. UPDATED: Got my bill in the mail and the basic cleaning that I was supposed to get had been billed as an unnecessary deep cleaning that cost my insurance $720.00. The regular cleaning should have been under $100.00. Just cancelled my follow up apt and will never go back!!

Avoid this business!!! 1. After a 3 hour root canal my daughter was sent away without pain medication and antibiotics (routine). 2. They lied about calling her 30 minutes after she left to supposedly ask her to return and get her prescriptions. They did no such thing. 3. She was forced to drive 2.5 hours back the next day to get her prescriptions. She was experiencing maximum pain and discomfort as well as having to bring her 3 kids along for the ordeal. 4. As if this wasnt bad enough, the dentist who referred her instructed them to ONLY do a root canal...the crown would be handled by the referring dentist. SO WHAT DID THEY PROCEED TO DO??? They billed her insurance for root canal AND crown!!! 5. She returned to the referring dentist for her crown today and is having to pay FULL price because Dental "Excellence" had already charged insurance. 6. The office manager here told her that Dental "Excellence" may have already been paid by insurance for a crown they never did and to make sure that if they had they send her the money!!! Hopefully this has not happened and there wont be an issue with getting that insurance money to help cover the cost of her crown. NEEDLESS TO SAY...THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER...AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I have been going to this office for many years. I started with Dr. Schott when he was the main and to my knowledge only dentist operating this office. I liked him and never had any issues, then. Over the years Dr. Schott has taken on other responsibilities that make it so he is rarely if ever actually the practicing dentist in the office. They have shifted their focus on offering continent hours for patients and to do this they have hired a slew of dentists, many It seems are fresh out of school. I asked my hygienist one day how many dentist they had there and she couldnt even tell me there were so many. What I dont like about them now, is that each time you go you are likely to see a different dentist some are ok, others not so much. I have had various family members treated here that have had ongoing issues with fillings, crowns, billing, etc. I am in the process of changing to a new dentist. Tired of impersonal service and feeling like just a number. This office was once good but now it is a place I would defiantly steer clear of.
