I came in complaining of lower-leg/knee pain during running, potentially IT Band Syndrome. I was told I had weak hips and needed corrective footwear. Upon undertaking a core-strengthening routine and purchasing stability shoes (which were incorrectly prescribed) the pain only got worse. Only after consulting with an orthopedic doctor who specializes in knees did I find out I had severe damage to the cartilage in and around my knee, including to the meniscus. This condition wasnt caused by the treatment, but the treatment certainly didnt help! Also, I did not like how the "physician" I saw kept trying to get me in for recurring sessions of physical therapy (to their financial benefit, of course). They also used very "technical" language and made it seem as though they were performing specialized physical therapy services when in reality they just performed common stretches on my leg that I could have done at home for free. Overall, it cost me over $200, but more importantly, I wasted 6 weeks on a useless treatment. Lesson Learned: Go see an orthopedic doctor first to ensure no structural issues exist by using x-ray scans and MRIs. Only after a structural problem is ruled out, then proceed to a chiropractor (such as SST) - not the other way around - if the problem cannot be solved through an orthopedist or by yourself.

Three years ago I saw Dr. DeWalch for therapy on a torn legimate in my ankle. I also went to the bone and joint clinic who did nothing for me. Dr. D. helped get my ankle healed up in about a month. I ran the half marathon a few months later. Since then Ive been going to him for any joint/structural related problem and also got regular adjustments from him while I was pregnant which I highly recommend if youre pregnant. My husband use to think all chiropractors are quacks until he went to Dr. D. for a knee injury while training for an ironman. Dr. D had him back to full training in a couple of weeks and my husband is now a believer and recommending him to others. Dr. D is extremely professional, knowledgable, honest and does an excellent job explaining exactly what hes doing and how it works. My parents also see him on a regular basis and have seen results no other doctors could provide. I almost didnt want to do this review because he is getting more popular and its harder to get in and see him but I have to promote Spine and Sports because its a great group of people that have helped a lot of people.

I had surgery 5 years ago for a ruptured disc. While the repair itself went well, I was still bothered every few months when my back would go out and I would head to bed with lower back pain. Frustrated with this and fearing that I was slipping into a the same chronic struggle with back problems that I had observed with older family members, I sought out Spine and Sports Therapy. The results have been wonderful. After treatment, my back functions normally and I am active again. No flare ups, no Saturdays laying up in bed waiting for the pain to resolve, no cancelled family activities. Hurrah! All the doctors and therapists are easy to talk to, very professional, and as knowledgeable about my back issues as anyone that I have consulted. They were also helpful when my kids injured themselves playing team sports: quicker recovery times, advice on injury prevention. Great stuff. I recommend them highly.

"The place to be for runners! At the end of last season, Dr. H. put my body back in "place" after the Houston marathon. Then during our training season, he came out many times to talk to all of our runners and provide us with invaluable information on what we should be doing to improve and excel at our beloved sport. The website on Spine n Sports has so much great information, I referenced it often. The best part - with only a few days before my Jan. 9 marathon, my body felt out of sorts, given all the long training runs. No problem was their response - come on in, well fit you in. The very next morning, I was in the office getting my pre-race tune-up. Then, 5 days after that adjustment, I set a new PR in my marathon (shaved off 22 minutes) and even qualified for Boston. Thanks Dr. H and team. You are all fantastic!"

My husband who has had reoccurring back pain, discovered Dr. DeWalsh just by chance when he was doing some remodeling work in the building. He completed the program and has not had a problem since and that was over two years ago. Shortly after completing his treatment, our then 16-year-old daughter was in a major car accident and suffered a neck injury. She has also had upper back pain most of her life from sitting incorrectly and carrying a heavy back pack. She too completed the therapy and her neck is healed and her back feels great. She goes in about once every 2 or 3 months to get an adjustment because of the stress she puts on her back. You will really like Dr. DeWalsh!

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I suffered from chronic pain and back problems. I was no longer able to participate in any active workouts or play the sports I loved. After my treatment at Spine and Sports, my back and joints were fully functional again, and with no more pain. I was back to participating and playing sports again in no time. The best part is that the root cause was treated and not just the symptoms. I was also very well informed and educated on my condition and learned how to minimize or even prevent future occurrences. I highly recommend Spine and Sports therapy.

I recently pulled my hamstring after having chronic tightness issues for about 3 years. Dr. Brackney was patient in finding what the issue was, and it turns out that my issues stem from hip misalignment and imbalances. His insight into the issue was knowledgeable and thorough and provided a realistic road map to my recovery for the long term. I really appreciated his professionalism, but also how he always had a genuine smile and care for my recovery. I would highly recommend him to others with chronic muscle issues.

I went in a few months ago for an issue with my knee. I walked out of there with a clear understanding of what was causing my joint pain (it wasnt actually my joint). Turns out that I just had tight hip flexors and hamstrings. My knee issue is beginning to fade with the implementation of their recommended exercises.

Both my husband and I have been patienst for a number of years. When others said I needed hip replacement surgery he "fixed me". I am a very big fan as you can imagine. We highly recommend them for not only their expertise but the exceptional interpersonal skills of JD and his staff. They are the best!!!!

Dr B in Kingwood has been nothing short of amazing. Had some hamstring and knee problems for years that have been holding me back. His emphasis on form, glute activation and proper preparation has kept me off the sideline consistently for the first time in years. Cant recommend him enough.
