Being new to Texas, I also needed to find a new doctor. After some discussions with others and online research re: the physicians within my insurance companys network of providers, I found Dr. Lorinda Torres of Cedar Niles Internal Medicine. I am very content with this choice. She and her staff were kind, professional, well equipped and thorough in the process of examining me. I appreciate Dr. Torres taking time to ask all the questions necessary and her gentle style of communication with everyone - not only patients, but also with her associates on staff. I was also favorably impressed with the laboratories and clinics to whom I was sent for specialized screening exams. All were excellent in their areas of expertise. I was a little surprised at first to have more tests run than ever before, but I understood that - as a new and an older patient - I needed to establish a "baseline" physical profile for confirmation of good health in the present and for future reference. I am grateful and very pleased to have found Dr. Torres/Cedar Niles Internal Medicine.

Im still trying to figure out why bills keep coming out of the woodwork and many have not been submitted to my insurance. I was charged a huge amount for blood tests and found out that they were all covered by my insurance but I was charged out of pocket anyway. If there are others out there getting the same treatment then something is wrong with this picture.
