I write a review now so I dont have to fear that he does terrible work on me. My dad told me to go there and John Christopher Durr accepted my insurance and I didnt know better as a high school student. I went there for a root canal and some fillings. Nurse was okay, but this dentist, just because I was a high school student, didnt give a s* about what I thought. He was incredibly rude, didnt even answer my questions properly, and when I couldnt breathe because of my jaw position (I told him that before) he got immensely annoyed and told the nurse, WORD BY WORD, "he needs a KIDS mouth piece. Can you get him a KIDS mouth piece?" This might not sound as rude as Im describing but he was practically yelling and distinctly emphasized KIDS just to tell me how annoyed he was because I couldnt f* breathe. Not only was he rude, the work he did later was trash as well. He did a filling and a crown on my molar tooth and few days ago that tooth started to hurt. I went to a different detist only to find out what he did was a mess and I have to do it again and get another crown. Do not go here. Never going there again.

The last thing you expect when you visit a dentist in the worst pain of your life is for mistakes to be made . I visited this doctor today and as for his manners he was polite. However, he prescribed two meds a pain killer and a antibiotic. Well the strength for the pain med was written incorrectly, in fact for a dosage that doesnt exist. I discovered this when I went to fill it at a pharmacy near my home and 25 miles from the doctor. Secondly, the receptionist didnt return my license or my medical card. Ive been calling the office back for 45 minutes and Noone will answer. Needless to say that was my last visit there. In some professions mistakes could cost you your life!

I moved to the Springfield area and asked around who is the best dentist, Dr. Durr was the 1st name to come up. A good dentist is like a good barber once you find them you stick with them. Dr. Durr is the man! I was nervous and his office staff set me at ease, they were so friendly and courteous, helped with my paperwork and everything. I needed an emergency extraction and he was a pro!! Other dentists were nervous about this extraction and he took it on and removed it like a BOSS!! No pain, no reason to be nervous and above all he did it as a walk-in!!! See ya the 10th Doc!!

Office staff is extremely rude. Our regular dentist dropped our insurance. So we went to this guy. The dentist was fine, but his staff lacks customer service. The lady on the phone told us dont bother to come because we were not on their list. So our insurer faxed them our coverage, but didnt hear back from them. Mind you our appointment was in an hour. So we called to verify the fax was received. And the lady on the phone said oh yeah come in. Will not return to this office if it was the last one on earth.

I went to Doctor Durrs office for the first time this morning. I really like this office and Dr. Durr. He took his time with me, answered all of my questions and reassured me about the condition of my mouth. He did nothing unnecessary just because I was new...ie no full set of X-rays just because...although he did X-ray one tooth that needed further exploration. I have a follow up scheduled to have a crown replaced. I plan to return and think I have found my new dentist.

I love Dr. Durr and his front office staff. Unlike many medical offices, they seem like they really care about you as a person. The staff works with you individually on insurance and payment issues and has been very helpful and flexible with my family. Dr. Durr does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. They are great with kids, low key and minimal in their approach. An old school practice with integrity and heart. Highly recommended.

Dr. Durr and his staff are very experienced. Ive gone there for several cleanings and I have had two crowns replaced. Although the crown replacement took longer than expected due to the lab that created the crown misjudging the measurements, Dr. Durr and the team made sure to get the crown correct rather than just cement it in anyway. After a few failed attempts they also gave a credit to my account for a portion of the cost of the crown.

Dr. Durr is great; Ive been with him for years and had many different problems that he has fixed superbly. He has a very conscientious office staff. They have worked well with my insurance company, which is a blessing considering how complicated insurance rules have become!

I live in Broad Run, Va. I used to live in Annandale. Dr. Durr has been my dentist for over 20 years. I will make the twice a year drive because I will not change dentists until he retires or I die. He knows what he is doing. He is the best dentist in the area.
