About a year ago, I was sitting as the first car at a red light on Parham Road when someone rear ended me going about 45 miles per hour. They actually ended up hitting me twice. It was less then a couple of hours later that my neck started to hurt enough to head to the Doctor. I ended up with a pretty severe case of whiplash as well as lower back pain. It was recommended that I go to a Physical Therapist. I tried that for several months and the pain and soreness really just wasnt improving. So I gave up for awhile and hoped that it would just go away. I couldnt sit in a chair for more then 5 minutes, sleeping was hard, driving was uncomfortable, reading wasnt easy, basically it altered my ability to really be able to do the things I was used to doing. I accidentally found Advanced Wellness Center at an event they were at and was able to talk to Dr. Lowrey about my injuries. He suggested I come see him and said he thought he could really make me better. It took me a couple of months to actually call him and set up an apt and I thank God every day that I did. After several months of chiropractic treatment, deep tissue massage, physical therapy, etc. I feel like a brand new person. I can sit in any chair for hours, I can drive, I can lift weights again and I am not having to lie down the minute I get home from work to rest my back and neck. I can now spend time with my 2 year old at night without pain. The combination of massage, chiropractic help and physical therapy is like magic. JUST seeing a chiropractor alone or going to Physical Therapy alone or getting a one time massage will not correct anything long term. I have learned from experience that this combination works. The staff is so wonderful and so caring and Dr. Lowrey is AMAZING. They have given me back a beautiful, happy, healthy life and I will be forever grateful.

I want to bring attention to the amazing results I experienced with the Decompression Table last week. I have been a patient of yours for many years with always favorable outcomes toward my health. However, the results of my latest visit brought about results that can only be described as astounding! It began with my maintenance adjustment. You said my neck was rather locked up, you prescribed a session of decompression, after which you would re-adjust my neck. I enjoyed the decompression session which allowed my neck to relax and stretch making the neck adjustment easy. I left feeling thankful for this new treatment option. As you know Ive experienced tinnitus for well over a decade, which in recent years has become increasingly loud to a point where carrying on a conversation was difficult to near impossible. Here is where the "ASTOUNDING" part comes in! Roughly three days after my adjustment/decompression session "MY TINNITUS IS GONE". Barely a whisper. When I realized this horrible curse had been lifted I immediately gave thanks in prayer. And now Im thanking you for having the technology and knowledge of how and when to use it for the good of your patients. I cant thank you enough for removing this scourge off me. Forever Grateful T.W.D.

Ive been recving massage since September 2015 for headaches and neck/upper back pain. AWC is much different than Massage Envy or other massage spas because they are focused on rehabilitation and relieving pain and tension long term, not just a soothing rub down for an hour or so. I went to a massage spa twice before finding AWC and the difference is astounding. At the spa, even though I was coming in for chronic neck pain and HAs, they spent about half of my massage lightly rubbing my legs down with lotion, and then about 5 mins on my neck. I literally left with a headache, but since going to AWC I have a light headache maybe once a week, whereas I was getting headaches and migraines every to every other day (as written on my AWC registration). Some days I come in with a mild tension headache and by the end of my massage it is completely gone. I never thought I would refuse to see another massage therapist or go to another massage place but when you find something that really WORKS you stick to it! AWC and massages are an investment of time and money but to me its worth it because massage IS my current health care treatment and I feel much better now than 6 months ago. I wont post my therapist because she is too special to give up. :)

I began going to advanced wellness about two years ago. I woke up one morning and couldnt move my neck. It was terrifying! I went to the doctor and they just gave me pain meds and a muscle relaxer. Drugs were not going to fix this. I found advanced wellness online and made an appointment. The massage therapist were actually able to help! I started doing a chiropractic and muscle work plan and I began feeling a lot better. I even did a personal training session. My husband also found relief from back pain with chiropractic, muscle work and physical therapy. I will admit that we have not maintained our progress as well as we could. Our insurance changed and without assistance, Advanced Wellness services are quite expensive. I havent found a good balance for maintaining my health and my budget but Im working on it. If I could manage it, I would go to advanced wellness weekly.

I came to them with genuine back pain. During the visit the doctor took some x rays, asked me a couple of questions. Seemed pretty normal. I had been having pain since long before a surgery. Once the doctor saw that scar he insisted that was the cause of my back pain. I tried over and over to tell him that I had been having the pain for nearly a year before any surgery. He wouldnt listen to a word I said. All he had to do is listen to me. I do not recommend this place. They were sure quick to charge me for everything. Even after my initial co-pay and all the money my insurance company paid out they were on the war path to get the remainder. I sent them several emails and called them a couple of times expressing my concerns about the doctor not listening to me. They didnt care. You have been warned.

I first went to AWC for severe migraine headaches that I got several times a month, and Dr. Lowry was able to help me immensely through chiropractic care. In the past year, I havent had even one migraine! What a huge relief! I have such confidence in the Advanced Wellness Center that I chose them when I needed physical therapy for Sciatica, and with Indrani as my therapist, recovered well and quickly. Last week, I went there for a one-hour relaxation massage with Tully Parker as my massage therapist. It was wonderful! Very relaxing, and he was careful to check in with me frequently to see if I was comfortable and that the pressure he was using was appropriate. Between the care given by Tully, the ambiance, and the great front-desk staff, it was an experience Ill be sure to repeat soon!

The small group fitness classes are GREAT! Ive been a consistent cyclist and runner for years, and have recently found myself uninspired and on a bit of a fitness plateau. Large gym prefab fitness classes didnt feel good to me, and I wasnt able to keep to a strength training program at home. When I tried the small group fitness classes at the AWC I was hooked from day one. Ryan and Travis know what theyre doing and practice what they preach. The classes are small and you get lots of one on one attention, but most importantly theyre really fun and the movements are diverse which keeps me engaged. Theres no doubt that the classes will make me stronger on the bike and on my feet. Love it.
