I switched to Dr. Wallen last year at the recommendation of a friend whos known him for years. Id had multiple experiences with dentists who treated me like an ATM by doing unnecessary work, overbooked their calendars so it was impossible to start an appointment on time or reschedule when I needed to, and seemed to view me as a number on a chart. Every time Ive been to Dr. Wallens office its been the most amazingly opposite experience from the issues Id had elsewhere. Dr. Wallens entire staff is cheerful and personable 100 percent of the time. There is always space available on their calendar, they are always on time or EARLY (no wasting time in the waiting area - amazing!), and Dr. Wallen is very discerning about the work he recommends (and skilled in the work that DOES need to be done). The receptionist is so sweet and helpful, and the hygienists talk to me - at appropriate times, not when there are hygiene tools in my mouth - as though I am a friend, not just a patient; plus they are the most gentle Ive ever had (never any pain!). Everyone seems genuinely glad to see me, and whatever they have to communicate, whether good or bad, they are not only completely thorough with the explanation but also give it a positive spin, which means a lot to me. I cant recommend Dr. Wallen highly enough!

The worst experience ever. .I have never wrote a negative review before but this one really warrants one. He was unprofessional, dismissive, not really listening. Basically I wanted crowns done in order to decrease my spaces between my teeth. He basically wanted me to go to an orthodontist. .His father is one and works in the same building. After i said that is not what I really came here for and his Web site shows that he has done this sort of work before, he abruptly walked away.They were supposed to also clean my teeth after they did the xrays. The tech walked in and said she was not going to do that and he wants me to go back to my old dentist who i already told him was retired. The dentist that took over the business was new at this. ..that is why i went to see a supposingly more qualified dentist. I asked the tech if it was anything I said.."please tell me"..she said "No". I asked if the dentist would speak with me for a few minutes. ..I wanted to know what happened. "He is busy with someone else" . Basically, he does not communicate well with his patient...terrible bedside manners, rude and unprofessional. I cant believe he is in business. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I have had quite a lot of dental work done in my life, not always having a pleasant experience. So, I approach any new dentist with apprehension. However, Dr. Wallen and his staff have welcomed me warmly and put me at ease from the start. Dr. Wallen did my first examination and X-rays, during which time he used an intra-oral camera to show me a problem with my tooth on the monitor located in front of me in the chair. He met with me to explain the results of his exam and discuss my priorities/goals for my teeth. He told me what his recommendations were for my treatment, while addressing both what was necessary, and what would be optional. He has always taken the time to fully explain what he is doing and why, along with ways for me to take better care of my teeth. They have worked with me to set up a payment plan, arranged to fit me in when my schedule was limited. I would recommend Dr. Wallen and his office to anyone.

Dr. Wallen and his staff are definitely a 5 Star dental office. I found this office by online research and reading his positive reviews. I can now be added to his list of happy patients. Dr. Wallen is very understanding and caring. He really listens to you and includes you in every step of the process. He recently did some work on my front teeth and Wow what an improvement! I now enjoy smiling and get lots of compliments. His staff are excellent too and the office is very clean and modern. I had some insurance questions and all were answered without issue. I also have had the best cleanings that I have ever had in my life by his hygienists. I would highly recommend Dr. Wallen and his office for all of your dental needs. Linda S.

I have known Dr. Wallen for years and upon my initial visit, I was extraordinarily impressed with the amount of detail given to each specific area of good oral hygiene. Dr. Wallen went into detail about gum lines, calcification, pockets and more. It was apparent I wasnt just there for a cleaning. I was there to receive a thorough examination and a plan that I could execute for life. You can see the attention to every detail within his office and it is easy to see why he is rated as one of the best. I would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of any dental care. J.J. Finding a good dentist is so hard now a days. They seemed to be very motivated by money and not patient care. That was until I found Dr. Wallen! It was a different experience from the first phone call! Dr. Wallen and his staff are so friendly, explain every detail, very gentle, genuinely caring and understanding of all my needs! I have a lot of silver filings and my last dentist wanted to crown them all. But Dr. Wallen said just to watch them!!! I love that he doesnt do unnecessary work!!!! I am writing a review to thank Dr. Wallen for helping me restore my mouth. Before meeting Dr. Wallen I was embarressed and nervous about going to the dentist. Because of this I had develped alot of dental problems. Dr. Wallen was sooooo kind and developed a plan to fix my teeth. I am now cavities free and all of the work turned out great! I am also really happy with the Zoom whitening and my new white teeth. Thank you Dr. Wallen!!!!!

My family and I will Never Return. They are not honest and do not tell you UP FRONT WHAT WILL OR WILL NOT BE COVERED BY INSURANCE. BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO HERE YOU COULD END UP WITH A VERY LARGE BILL. AND THE OFFICE MANAGER DOES NOT DO HER DUE DILLIGENCE TO HELP THE CUSTOMER FIND OUT BEFORE THEY DO THE WORK THAT IT WILL NOT BE COVERED. VERY ANGRY FORMER PATIENT. The Dentist does good work he just had BAD HELP.

Best dentist Ive ever been to. I live in Everett and it takes me over an hour to drive all the way to Federal Way -- but I have to, if I want my teeth to be happy! I tried to go to two other dentists, and neither one was even close. One actually messed my mouth up, and it was only Dr. Wallen who was able to repair and make my mouth stop hurting. Hes got magic. Thank you Dr. Wallen and all of the staff.
