This Banfield is my last resort veterinarian when I want to get a pet in ASAP without going to the emergency Vet. They have awesome hours, and are even open on Sunday for a long time. Ive done this a couple of times and was able to be seen the same day in both cases. I found the prices to be a little more than my current vet, and they kept droning on about their pet health plan, where youre roped into monthly payments... I find insurance like the most annoying thing ever, so the fact they even bring it up just puts me in a bad mood. However, that isnt enough... everyone will keep talking about it even after youve said no politely. So, it must be a huge money maker or a really important performance indicator for the individual locations. I did the math and youd have to have a really sick animal to make the money balance out. Because of the health plan, their prices are CRAZY INFLATED for non-basic stuff... Like a vet visit is maybe a little more than my normal cost, medicines seemed reasonable... but when they started talking about surgery, it was absolutely outrageous. Probably because their members get like 20% off or something - so they have to build that into the price so they make money on both ends - you know, the medical & insurance industry, teaming up together to monopolize your wallet - exactly what youve always wanted. Anyway, in this case I didnt end up needing surgery or anything, so all worked out well... I would have went to my own vet for that, anyway. Basically, if they didnt mark up their prices for health plan members, then Id probably go here regularly just because the vet I met was perfectly nice and their hours beat everyone to bits. The talking about the health plan and slightly higher prices make this "mehhh" to me.

I have always spoke wonders about banfield, the cets are great, the staff is great, one of my old roommates and good friends used to work there. Id heard bad things about their prices and being so pushy about the insurance and wanting to do unnecessary tests, but id defended them. They have always taken great care of my cat. Until this last friday 12/23. My cat has been sick and not eating for almost a week and drooling. My uncle took him in while i was at work on friday. My uncle couldnt make the payment and they said theyd call him. They threatened to take him to collections the same day of the appointment if he didnt pay. I told him id call today (monday 12/26 as they were closed for christmas) to pay for the visit. The answer i got today was that they had sent him to collections for it on friday. THE SAME DAY of the appointment, and they canmt take it back out. Even doctors for humans give you leeway and their prices are even more expensive. Im so disgusted with banfield. The collections place is closed today for the holiday, but they are going to call me tomorrow so i can pay it. No answers btw. Never again banfield.

Just wasted an hour and a half of my life. I pay these guys $42.95 per month ($515 per year) for their health plan that provides two comprehensive checks per year with a dental cleaning. About a month ago I scheduled my pups exam with dental cleaning for today. When I arrived this morning, they had no record of the appointment. They could have worked her into the schedule, but they chose not to. They could have “tossed me some sort of bone” for messing up and wasting my time, but they didn’t. Although the medical team here has always been good, they need to consider fixing their scheduling system so appointments don’t get wiped out, and working harder to make things right when they screw up. Not sure if others have had the same “oooops we don’t have you on the schedule” experience, but I strongly suggest confirming your appointments before coming in here. I’m considering the local vet alternatives now.

My dog was sick so my mom brought him in for observation while I was at work. She gave them her number to call when he was done. I was able to get off work in time to get him instead. I called to change the contact phone number. I called again near estimated pickup time to ask when he would be done- they told me they would call- they were so quick I doubt the person even looked. I called again an hour after estimated pickup and they had called the original number! My dog is TERRIFIED of the vet and will shake the whole time. He was traumatized an extra two hours because these people cant be bothered to do their job. They do not care about animals. Do not take your pet here.

Love this place! I have 3 dogs and a cat they are my children so Im super protective of them. I trust the staff they are very friendly always greet my pets by name and make them feel special. Recently my eldest dog was not feeling well I of course freaked out they thankfully were able to get me scheduled that same day I dropped off her off and the staff kept me updated while she was there when I picked her up the Dr. Came out and spoke with me gave me great recommendations on questions I had which I really appreciated. The next day they even called to see how she was doing and of course I had more questions which they answered.
