WORSE HOSPITAL EVER!!!! I went into this place with excruciating stomach pains, only to be ignored for 4 hours. When the tech came to draw my blood, I think it was her first time doing it. She put the needle in, didnt tape it down, drew three tubes of blood, as the needle is slipping out of my vein, when she takes the needle out, my blood sprays EVERYWHERE!! She hands me a piece of gauze to put on the hole. Doesnt tape the gauze down and tells me to hold it there!!!! I am in pain, I want to just curl back up into a ball (which I had to do on two chairs) After that I got up and tried to leave. Door was locked and I had to ask someone to let me out, they kept asking my name and I just kept telling them, "My name is I want to leave, so let me out" Then finally the "Doctor" comes over and tells me hell give me something for my pain, first off never saw this guy before and secondly when someone claims they have stomach pains, you cant just numb the pain, you have to examine the patient first...... so needless to say I just left. Id rather die at home than to ever set foot in that nightmare they call a hospital again. The whole ordeal was surreal and nightmarish. The guys in the tutu with the sludge hammer didnt help the situation. Also the nurses and security are VERY rude and the language they use is not that of one who works in a professional setting. How this hospital is still operational is BEYOND me! This place needs a total overhaul of staff and a makeover of the hospital in generally. Seriously Ive seen better looking hospitals in abandoned facilities. If you ever end up having to go to a Hospital in Brooklyn, I HIGHLY recommend Lutheran. At least there they have compassionate staff, that know what they are doing.

This is probably one of the worst hospital in NYC. The majority of the nurses are rude. The wait for a doctor to see you in the E.R is unreal. I am an asthmatic patient and had to wait for triage nurse to come back to the window. Which they never did. After standing with severe shortness of breathe for about 10min, I had to ask the security guard to see if he can go inside and get me somebody. Asthma patients are suppose to go right in, no waiting time at all. I asked a nurse behind the desk if I could get a blanket and she told me its over there and that I could get it myself. Ive never experience that before. The true saving grace of my visit was my actual nurse, Nurse Kiera (hope I spelled that right). She was pleasant, empathetic, attentive and just plain kind. The whole staff need to take a note from her....this goes for the doctors as well! I feel horrible to say it, but this place need to be shut down or have a severe and drastic change in how they care for the people that make it possible to have jobs.

Was recently admitted there for 5 days, the room I was in had a broken heater that was stuck on high heat at full blast.(in the middle of August!!) No one ever came to fix it the whole time. Laid there pouring sweat the whole time and every time I asked for water there were no cups,no drinking water or some other reason why I couldnt even get a drink of water!! No one ever came to clean room the whole time I was there. Trash cans and drawers were full and overflowing of a past patients trash. The room stunk like stale urine and vomit that had not been cleaned for years. Requests for simple things like hospital socks were completely ignored. I could go on and on with stories like these of things that happened during time there. No one cares at all there and patients are just an inconvenience who interrupt their personal conversations and watching television shows on their phones. Worse place ever!!!

The staff is very sweet. From nurses to clean up crew. Just an all around family experience. When your children are sick, its really comforting knowing you have support. This hospital has a bad reputation. THANKS TO THE CITY CUTTING FUNDS. If interfaith had as much funding as Cornell university, this hospital would blow Cornell out of the water. Its sad. Brooklyn hospitals have funds cut while the rich 68th st hospital is getting more funding. Can you say wall street corruption? You can tell these nurses and doctors love the kids and their jobs at interfaith. It makes me sad to see this hospital fall apart. I will continue to support this hospital an Its workers. From the two kids and mommy in room 420 :-) thank you for making us better and putting up with my four year olds attitude with a smile. I love you guys. <3 five stars!

My Mother is has been waiting for 6 hours with my 9 year old brother to see a doctor in the emergency room as I am writing this review, i have made multiple calls, yet to no avail, I am extremely upset, no assistance whatsoever, her hand is swollen and her cuticles are black and blue, by the grace of god she managed to drive there, barely able to turn the steering wheel. I am an active duty military employee and she is a prior postal worker. we pay taxes hoping that our tax dollars would go to the care and support we both fight for from different perspectives. as I write this, I hope it is known that if something happens to her within the confines of this hospital, legally I will show no mercy. I have lost love ones in hospital care and with that I am through, My mothers name is Sharon G Collins.

Used to work in dietary ver recently... i have to admit, the staff is horrible. The nurse doesnt keep an open eye on their patients and doesnt focus on their jobs. I had came across too many patients that complained day in and day out about the nurses and the doctors and how they were treated by them. Nurses would receive food from Dietary for the patients and instead they would eat they food. And i watched patients would werent able to move suffer in silence. They food would sit on tables for more than an hour before they feed them, or they would be screaming in pain and no one comes to their aid. Not only that, they held patients, convincing them that they are some how sick, just to milk the insurance. Beware of this place

Im 21 weeks pregnant & high risk, came in the ER triage through the ambulance because I cant stand up. Found out that theres no Ob/Gyn service here. 3-4 hrs later waiting in the stretcher to find out whos my nurse and doctor still no answer. I still didnt get a wristband. In the 5th hr the RN who was leaving seen me (turns out Im not even her patient, but I remind her of her own child) thats only the beginning. They was suppose to take my blood and urine. They just put an IV no blood has been taken and Im still looking at this urine 11 hrs later. Yes Im still here. From May 1,14; 4:46p- May 2, 14; 2:26a. Im smelling my own urine from my bedpan since May 1,14; 11:52p now its May 2, 14; 2:28a. Im starting to feel dizzy again.
