I am in utter SHOCK as to read such negative reviews for Island Trees Veterinary Clinic! I am here to change this IMMEDIATELY!!!! First off my name is Dara and my beautiful puppy is Bella. My first experience with this office was AMAZING from the greeting at the door by Sue at the receptionist desk to filling out paperwork, and not even a 10 minute wait to be seen and be examined by the most phenomenal Dr. I was so scared and nervous because Bella is my little Fur-Baby and a member of my family. This was her first surgery having being spayed and it was traumatic for a new mommy (Me), not knowing what to expect. If it wasn’t for Sue and Tracy, I would have been a total wreck leaving Bella for the overnight surgery. Sue and Tracy were so sympathetic and caring and put my heart and Bella at ease. Their prices are VERY reasonable and everything was explained IN DETAIL before anything was done and/or charged. I am actually going back to get Bella micro chipped when she heals. While waiting for Bella to go in, we all started to talk and not only has Sue expressed she has a dog of her own, but she made me and the other patients in the waiting room feel like family where every fur-baby was treated like her own. She was very intuitive to my needs and that is very important in selecting my new forever doctor at Island Trees. This veterinary office is like NO OTHER I’ve ever seen before. I cant say enough great things. When the Doctor first met me, he had a great personality, and his sense of compassion for the animals was seen immediately. He held Bella on the table and did a thorough evaluation on her including range of motion, checked her gums, ears, you name it, it was checked. (Tell me what animal sits still and not wants to run for the door). Bella sat still and loved the Dr as well as the vet technicians. Bella gave a little trouble getting on the scale but hey….what girl wants to get on a scale right??, What a great office with such professionalism that they come highly recommended by me and all of my neighbors who have furry family members. Bella has another appointment in two weeks and she is already springing back to her normal self. I actually have Bella’s sister and neighbor making an appointment to switch to this hospital as well. I cannot thank the Dr, Sue and Tracy, for not only being the BEST office, but for making me feel so comfortable to want to spread the word and the love for all animals by bringing them to Island Trees Veterinary hospital. You made a worried and nervous mom, feel safe bringing her little one to be cared for and seen immediately. If ANYONE has any questions or concerns that I can assist in any way shape or form, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can go on and on with wonderful reviews about this office. On the way out from this last appointment, I had also had the pleasure of meeting other parents such as myself who I had made friends with, so one day we can all have puppy play dates. That’s how close and like family we all were there. If there were 10 STARS to give this office I would!!!!! ISLAND TREES VETERINARY HOSPITAL AND STAFF ARE THAT AMAZING and deserves 10 stars!!!!!!! I have been using Dr. Gottlieb as my boxers vet for a little more than 11 years and would recommend his team without hesitation. He has performed knee surgery for my boxer at 6months old, removed various tumors from his body, regular exams and just a couple of months ago Dr. Brad Gottlieb performed a surgery on Jakes eye to correct a non-healing corneal ulcer which he cured 100%. I am always impressed and thankful for all that they do and appreciate the professionalism of all the Doctors and staff. Every time I bring Jake in I get a follow up call to see how he is doing...they really care about the animal. A great story that never leaves me was I had a MAJOR tumor removed from Jakes hip from a "not be named" specialty center here in Manhattan. They discharged him to early and let him go earlier than they should. He was bleeding out from his stitches and the drainage tube they inserted into his back leg. When we got him home and for 2 days thereafter, every time we called and brought him back to this specialty vet, which were numerous times and 100’s of dollars each time we walked in the door, we were able tell they cared more about was the money and less about the health or outcome of the dog. We just did not know what we were going to do and thought we were going to lose him. We called Dr. Gottlieb and he told us to rush him over. Dr. Gottlieb and his team kept him for a week on close watch gave me daily updates. I am please to say his team did everything they possible could to turn this around. After a week Jake was back to himself and moving around better than ever. This is my first dog. A friend referred Dr. Gottlieb and his team to me. I truly would never bring my dog any place else, I have never doubted the information they gave me and they are always straight to the point and tell you like it is, not what they think you want to hear. I am extremely grateful for all they have done for Jake and me. Please, feel free to email me if you have any doubt about bringing your animal to Island Trees. They are the BEST!!!!!

My experience with Island Tree Veterinary Hospital has been wonderful. The Dr. Gottlieb, Dr. Caren and their staff are knowledgeable and caring professionals. A few years back we rescued a kitten with an amputated foot. He was having a problem with it because the amputation was done wrong. We took him to our regular vet and he recommended we amputate the rest of the leg to fix it. Our regular vet at the time did not do that kind of surgery so he recommended Island Tree. We brought him in and he was seen by Dr. Caren. He also recommended the leg be fully amputated to help. We agreed to the surgery. Our kitten is now a beautiful, healthy, full grown cat that jumps, runs and loved to play with his three dog siblings. Going to Island Tree save our kitten and we will always be thankful for the care and attention they gave to us. Dr. Gottlieb has also been wonderful in helping up with a situation we had with our dogs. We have three dogs and occasionally they would fight. A few times we had to bring them to our vet to get some staples put in for injuries. We were not happy with the way our old vet was handling our case. He never offered advice on how to stop the fighting and did not seem to care to help. I then remembered how happy I was with the care we received at Island Tree when we brought in our cat, so we decided to bring in our dogs. Again we were very happy with the care we received and the full attention to the situation we were given. Dr. Gottlieb took the time to talk to us and discussed things that could help stop the fighting. Yet again going to Island Tree was the best thing to do. My dogs are now doing great. Thanks again Island Tree!
