Universus physical therapy offers by far the best treatment that I have ever received in my life. I have been going to various physical therapists since a teen due to a variety of injuries that has left me with a quite complex case to heal. Shaden, of Universus Physical Therapy, not only addresses the complexity of my body but she takes her time carefully executing the necessary healing. She spends an entire hour working with you, which is a rarity in the land of physical therapy, and no time is wasted with the usual ice and stim. She spends the entire hour manipulating your body to help redirect the body back into a healthy alignment. In correlation to this phenomenal personal attention, you will be working with a therapist that is extremely friendly, personable, approachable and flexible. She is extremely intelligent but can convey information in a way that anyone can comprehend. She will work with you to incorporate simple exercises into your daily routine to help you get back to doing the things that you love with no pain. I have, and continue to recommend anyone in need of physical therapy to Universus Physical Therapy. It is therapy unlike I have experienced and I am sure that this is due, in part, to their genuine love of healing the body in a nondestructive, natural, holistic means.

Ive been under treatment with Dr. Shaden Ghattas for osteoarthritis of the hips and knee bursitis. She is unequivocably the best physical therapist in New York. Thanks to her, I was spared getting a steroid shot in my hip to reduce acute inflamation. She understands that the body is a comprehensive unit and that pain in one area does not necessarily mean just a problem with that area but can be a symtom of a problem elsewhere. Shadden is warm and caring and very knowledgeable. She is the best.

Shaden at Universus Physical Therapy is a knowledgeable and caring healer. I first saw her with painful frozen shoulder. She worked with me to regain my range of motion through hands-on, in-office therapy, and recommended at-home exercises to maintain my progress. After a few months of working together, my shoulder is much better and Im able to regain normal movements. I highly recommend her!
