I’ve been a competitive athlete my whole life - baseball, speed skating, weightlifting, and most recently CrossFit. I’ve also made my living in the health and fitness industry. Being an athlete comes with its fair share of bumps and bruises, and while I’ve never had a catastrophic injury (knock on wood), I’m always looking to keep my body in top shape from a functional standpoint. I realize the benefit of listening to my body when it tells me to simply rest, but also the holistic approach in terms of recovery, something that far too many people don’t do nearly enough of. My background in working with professional athletes has taught me at least that much. For me, this means reaching out to multiple avenues in the realm of health - PT’s, massage therapists, and chiropractors, to name a few. With that in mind, in early 2013, I opened up a line of communication with chiropractor Dr. Justin Scott of StrongLife Chiropractic and Natural Health. Given that he was in a complimentary field to mine, it seemed only natural to reach out to another member of our local community to see what he could do for me. I was not coming to him as is typical of most patients - I was not injured, I wasn’t in an accident. I had no chronic low-back pain, my neck didn’t ache, and my joints didn’t hurt upon just waking up. I simply wanted to make sure that I was doing everything I could to take care of my body. I was thrilled after our very first conversation because we both shared this idea of complimentary disciplines to enhance peoples lives from the standpoint of health and fitness. He was also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as am I, so he not only respected, but also understood, what I bring to the table. After my first consultation, I was sold. He showed me things about my spine that I had never seen before and explained things to me in terms that I cared about - performance. And that is what really sets Dr. Scott apart from many others that I’ve been to - he relates to people in terms that matter to them. As selfish as this may sound, I was concerned with how his treatment of me was going to help me excel on my field of play. And he did just that. As the months went on during my treatment, I noticed that I could warm-up more effectively, move with greater ease and efficiency, and most importantly, all my performance metrics were improving. In my book, that is a precise measure of success. Any time my athletes are looking to further the care of their body, he is the first person I tell them to go and see. To this day, I still go in for regular maintenance to keep my body healthy. I can’t think Dr. Scott enough for all he has done and continues to do for my health and fitness.

Where do I start? I have been going to see chiropractors since I was a teenager in junior high. As the years grew on, so did my back and neck problems. Most recently I was in a severe car accident about three years ago that should have killed me. So, you can only imagine the number that did on my neck and back. I was told by another chiropractor that I would have permanent neck damage for the rest of my life, and I would be lucky to not be in a wheelchair in just a few years. And then I found Dr. Scott. He didnt mince words. He did say there was alot of damage, but it COULD be reversible with hard work on my part, as well as through his care plans. I have seen significant improvements in my posture as well as curvature in my neck and back, in just two years! In addition to his own and his staffs incredible skills, I have found them all to be an incredible wealth of knowledge in health and wellness issues. Dr. Scott is trained in something called Functional medicine, which is just basically holistic medications. It has helped me out in my overall health, and just recently he has started to help me with my moms health (who has advanced Parkinsons Disease and dementia). Dr. Scott uses different techniques than many chiropractors. He has equipment he uses for different traction techniques. You walk down the hallway where his equipment is, you would think you were at a Alice Cooper concert! Dr. Scott can help you if you have any any neck and back issues. If you suffer from headaches or even other oridinary health issues, Stronglife Chiropractic can most likely help you. He has a great team. His massage therapists, Melissa and Ashley, are some of the best around. I cant recommend these guys more!

I started care here about two months ago. Surprisingly enough I didnt even know I needed it. I am very athletic. I actively play golf, rugby, run and lift weights. I am not the nicest to my body. During these two months Dr. Scott has relieved pain in my neck and low back, returned mobility to my spine, and has helped me with some digestive complaints through his holistic approach via functional medicine. I have also seen Dr. Purvis, the physical therapist on staff. I have had trouble with my rotator cuff for years. Through seeing her I have received exercises to do which have not only taken away discomfort in my shoulder but have widened my range of motion. I can finally touch the middle of my back without pain! My favorite thing about this office is that they offer so many different services. In addition to chiropractic care they offer physical therapy, functional medicine, massage therapy and a weight loss program. If you think youre walking into just a chiropractic office you will be pleasantly surprised that it is so much more. The best thing about it is that each of these services tie in together to help people achieve optimal health naturally and holistically. The doctors and staff just encourage your body to heal itself! They know the body has all the necessary tools to repair itself. They help guide it with adjustments and traction, etc. to speed up that process. I love this place and you will too, especially with such great staff helping and encouraging you so you too can achieve optimal health!

Ive been going to STRONGLIFE Chiropractic & Natural Health the office of Dr. Scott for Forward Head Syndrome for some time now & have found myself to be in the care of a dedicated & knowledgable doctor whom is a complete professional in his field. Dr. Scott & his dedicated staff have been very tentative to my well being and focused in providing an atmosphere that is truly unique. I have noticed that they are committed to me as the patient in providing me with the necessary information and tools needed to get me to that healthy state. Im entering into phase 2 of my treatment and happy to report that phase 1 has me feeling like their is hope again. I initially went to see Dr. Scott for an unrelated condition that I had due to an accident to learn that their was a bigger issue that what I expected. Ive had previous chiropractic care for the past 15 years or so and felt like I needed something more than what I was use to. Dr. Scott has proven that their is better chiropractic care than the typical adjustment or alignment. He is not only a professional that talks the talk, he strongly believes that living a STRONGLIFE is something we could all achieve with the correct knowledge and understanding of how your body is working for you. Dr. Scott has also reminded me that it what I do now impacts the way I will live in the future. So if youve been thinking your ready for a change, I encourage you to do like I did and give STRONGLIFE Chiropractic a chance, you wont be sorry you did. Thank You Dr. Scott~
