They took money in my name and WONT RETURN TO CREDITOR! They give NO OPTIONS in care for their patients and only give the most expensive as their only option. Worst experience I have ever had. Manager is rude and doesnt care for her patients. I saw an add in the paper and went here for a free exam about a year ago because one of my teeth has been in pain. After the exam they immediately told me I needed a root canal and started the financial paperwork and submitted my application to "Care Credit". The tech sitting next to me said that what they did wasnt right and they didnt give me any choice in the matter. A root canal was the most expensive option and I would have to come back multiple times to get it cleaned, redone, and recapped. When the doctor came back I asked if there were any other options. Instead of giving me options, he got the office manager to come in and give me the same line of information the doctor gave me and no additional options or info. When I insisted for more options they then got ANOTHER doctor to tell me the EXACT same info. The office manager then said that I my application was already approved by care credit for $2000 (first visit) and I was already being processed. I was about to give in, I felt like the entire office was against me and I said OK. I was transferred to the Orthodontist who was there that day, and after I was alone with him I then asked him that I needed help. I needed to know my other options. I told him what had happened and he called in the office manager to speak with me. I wanted a price quote on option #2 and the office manager, already annoyed with me, flatly told me "I already gave you a quote". I explained to her that I was quoted for option 1, and I wanted option 2. She would not give in and started give excuses. The doctor clearly saw that I was upset... 2 hours Ive been trying to get more info and I was about to get up and leave. He then started to speak to the manager for me, saying "the patient is asking for information and we have an obligation to give it to him". I was relieved to hear him say that but the office manager quickly threw her finger in the doctors face and said "Im speaking with the patient, please dont interrupt". I couldnt believe that an office manager would ARGUE with the doctor right in front of me! A patient! I couldnt take it, I stood up and said I wanted a second opinion. The manager without a word walked out on me. I thanked the doctor for trying. But thats not all... After a few weeks I received a letter in the mail... From care credit saying I owed them $2000 and was late on my first payment. The dental office took money under my name, and never returned it! I called the office and told them they needed to return the money IMMEDIATELY otherwise my credit would be damaged. After about a month I started to receive phone calls from care credit harassing me for payments. Each time they called I got into a big argument, almost to the point of yelling, because they didnt believe me. To them, someone owed $2000 and it was under my name. I argued my case to them, told them to call the dentist office and have them sort it out, it shouldnt be my problem anymore. After 3 months of harassment calls, I finally called the dentist office back. I very sternly told the manager they needed to return ALL the money they wrongfully kept under my name. There was no sorry, no explanation, just a quick "ok, sure". I was so fed up, I didnt express any of my frustration to the person on the phone. I felt like these people were criminals and if I upset them, they could keep the money or worse, use my information to further hurt my credit. I didnt want that and quickly hung up. After 5 MONTHS.... I FINALLY stopped receiving letters and phone calls. For a quick free exam, it sure cost me a great deal... They dont care for their patients, only the $$$ they bring in. They smile and say "hi", but only when you arent being difficult and paying them.
This office is VERY shady, I went for a routine check up where they found approximately $4000 worth of extra work after they capped out my insurance. They did the cavitys and cleaning then and scheduled the root canals for a later appointment. I got a second opinion because I wasnt in any pain, the other doctor informed me that it was a small cavity and that a root canal wasnt needed. I cancelled the later appointment and they still charged me $3000 for the root canals! I tried calling to let them know there had been a mistake and they told me no refunds! I didnt get the work done! After months of fighting they lowered the bill to $1200 for services rendered. What services?! Writing down the appt and then crossing it out?! How much does this secretary make? Finally after months and months of fighting they cleared the bill. I asked for a copy of my X-rays for my records and they asked for a $35 fee. After everything they have tried, they are still tring to get every cent out of me. They are swindlers, shady and will take you for every cent you have. I wouldnt trust them. Oh and the work they did do? I still have pain and can barely chew on one side of my mouth, which didnt hurt until I saw them, costing roughly $1000.
I have been going to ABD for the past three years, I have not had any problems . I am happy with my treatment and the treatments for my 10 year old daughter. I am very happy with the service of the front desk as well. They are polite and try to help as much as they can. My only complaint as of the past 3 visits I have had, has been the wait times. They have lately been having extented wait times that make it an unenjoyable experience.
This place is amazing. Theres 3 things in the world Im scared of. And Im glad to say a dentist is no longer one of them. The staff was so gentle during X rays and pre exam questions. And the dentist was also so polite and gentle with what I was scared of and how certain teeth were sensitive. She was polite but firm, which I like. Saying "I understand your fears but this needs to be done" Ill definitely be coming back
Even with appointments, you have to wait over an hour some times...... 4 months into getting my daughters braces, they changed office hours and told me theres nothing they can do because their doctor (apparently only 1 doctor) does not want work on weekends anymore..... so "take or leave it" was what I was told.
The staff here were are very knowledgeable and have been able to pinpoint exactly what I needed. The office staff has been very professional and has been flexible with my insurance and out of pocket cost. I definitely recommend Absolute Dental.
