The overall experience was bad. I was trying chiropractic for the first time so I did not know what to expect. First of all, the staff working there was very rude. Second, even though Dr.Tim was very nice, he told me I needed to keep going even though there was nothing wrong with me. He finally found that I was not reacting properly to "stress" like if that is something wrong, so he treated me for 8 sessions, until I found out that I started to have bad reactions to stress so I stopped going. The only reason I give a 1 to this place is the massage therapist, who is unbelievable amazing.

Dr. Merrick is a life saver. My hip/back pain was causing a burning pain down my leg to my foot and into my shoulder. I can safely go back to the gym and resume normal activities. I highly recommend him as well as any of the members on staff at Alive and Well. They are all polite friendly and truly want to help your personal well being. His office always gives a warm feel and cozy environment.

Have been going for years. Dr. Tim is the nicest and least judgemental human I have yet to meet. He has helped balance my anxiety and helped my chronic neck and shoulder pain disappear within 2 visits. Getting adjusted has become a great reset physically and emotionally. Additionally Jay the masseuse is increadible, with sports injury training it is the deepest massage I can find in nyc.

Staff is fantastic. Dr. Jim is great to work with and really does a good job of explaining his diagnoses and treatments. Very relaxed environment. Also I had a massage by John and it was really great. As a former College athlete Ive had a lot of issues with knots and he was of the most knowledgable guys Ive met. He used to work with celebrities and has some good stories. Great place.

I brought my mom from Philadelphia to see Dr Merrick of New York City today. She has been having short term memory problems and no one else has been able to offer good suggestions for helping this, expect for drugs which are not helping her at all. We were extremely impressed with the evaluation and recommendations Dr. Merrick made as well as his phenomenal staff.

I saw Dr. Denis Martino and she is very passionate about chiropractic and knowledgeable about it for sure. She gave me a brief introduction and cracked my spine and I felt awesome afterwards! They also have an on-site masseuse, Yo and she has these amazing hands that do wonders! I am ready to come back for more adjustment :)

Ive been to many chiropractors, no office was cleaner or more friendly and Inviting. Both Doctors are great but I met w/ Dr. Amanda Kinee who is new to that office and she was absolutely Incredible. I dont think ill ever go anywhere else. Such professionalism and care, she really seemed very passionate about her work.
