If I could give more than 5 stars to this LensCrafters location I would; this is not the location I typically use but I came here because the service at 71st and Broadway was so lacking. I woke up this Saturday with a severe eye infection, so I went to the LensCrafters where I order my contacts on 71st and Broadway to see if I could be evaluated by one of the doctors, knowing that urgent care would not have the expertise of an opthalmologist to help me. Despite my condition, they refused to see me because they were booked and those with standing appointments will be mad if they have to wait. In the meantime, I contacted the LensCrafters location at 107th and Broadway. Sight unseen, they said they were booked but always accommodate an emergency. I left immediately. When I got there, I waited only a few minutes and was quickly diagnosed with a corneal ulcer and infection, which could result in loss of vision if not treated immediately. I have now seen the doctors there twice in 24 hours and will be back tomorrow, as they want to monitor this closely until the infection is gone. I received a message late yesterday from the 71st St location asking me to come in, they didnt know how bad my condition might be, etc. - but by then I was already home with a perscription. I will not be returning to this location. Im not sure why policy varies by location but I have to say that Dr. Gardner and the staff 107th and Broadway are wonderfully compassionate, expeditious, and thorough - and I am very thankful for their care.

Dealing with Airheads!! Thanks to all who gave there real review on this store. I went there thinking i was going to get a way better service instead of going to my neighborhood eye glasses store. Anyways My wife was expecting our second child at the time. And this nightmare that we was going through in this store. The frist visit wasnt that bad they took my son prescription together with his new frame and told me in about a week they would have it done. Well a Week goes by and nothing. And then it became a joke every week i would call and no good news. Already a month had gone by and still nothing, they FORGOT to send in my son order. Spoke to the manager and she was no help. Well my child was born before my other son got his glasses. And after two weeks later i took my 8yr old to the store to get his glasses. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all. They dont have what it take to be LensCrafters Employee or represent the Company. What a shame! So if your looking into buying glasses in this store dont even waste your time or money there it is not even worth it. Google should let people rate this place "A BIG FAT ZERO"...

The screw on my glasses fell off so I went to this place to get it fixed. There were three living adults at the from desk sitting there doing nothing and refused to help me claiming there is only one "specialist" can tighten the screw but he was currently busy right now. So I waited 15 minutes while the three people at the front desk earning minimum wages and being completely useless. I asked them if I can borrow the screwdriver by myself and they refused to lend me and continued sitting there doing nothing. So I walked couple blocks up and went into a independent optics store. The girl who work there fixed it in literally 5 seconds. I told her what happened to me in the LensCrafters earlier and she said they need to go to kindergarten and be re-educated. Those people need get fired immediately if they work in the optics store but cant tighten a screw and the store would be operated more efficiently.

Definitely glad I went to this location (2770 Broadway, between 106th & 107th), particularly for Dr. Gardner and Crystal. Dr. Gardner was informative and efficient, but also extremely friendly and patient with my million questions. I went in for an eye appointment so I could get contacts prior to a trip, and had allowed myself a two-week window; I imagine this isnt always possible, but they were able to give me contacts *that day,* within an hour of my walking in the door. Everyone was friendly, but Crystal, one of the specialists on the floor, was particularly wonderful. I told her I wouldnt be deciding on / buying new glasses that day, but she still offered to look at frames with me for ages -- and she was great at picking out frames that complement my face size/shape! By far my best experience with an optometrist(s office) in New York.

Horrible customer service! I got my glasses there and the side of it broke after 6 months. A piece of metal had came out and I would need to replace that part. I went in in hopes to get it repair, thinking that they might be able to fix it by contacting the manufacturer to obtain the part. A guy that worked there kept telling me that I would have to order the part myself from Prada. I left wondering how would I even do that? Shouldnt they do repair there since I got the glasses from them? Long story short I took my glasses to Cohen and they were able to order the part for me and fixed my glasses, and I didnt even get the glasses from Cohen!! This just proves how much Lenscrafter cares about their customers!

Bad service, incompetent personnel, dont go there! Instead of 1 hour to get new glasses it has been 240 hours and counting. When the lenses finally arrived after ten days, they made me come in to fit them to the frame only to break them in the process. Now we are back to square one. What a waste of time! Quick update. It has been a month now, and I still have not gotten my glasses. WTF? I finally decided to cancel the order and try my luck with a different store.

My experience has been that I receive prompt and courteous service. The staff is professional and they have not disappointment me whether it is fixing something right there and then on the spot or whatever. the works was done well and in a timely fashion,. They have not promised anything they did not deliver. I trust them to look out for my eyes and recommend them to others.

the doctors here are a PITA. Not helpful, quite unfriendly and unwilling to assist. I guess the sales staff is nice but they are disjoint from the "doctors". Also this lencrafters is INDEPENDENT and not hooked to the other lenscrafters so you cant even pull your information on the system to smoothly transfer transactions. Even their rates were higher. what a waste.

Two of the three employees I talked to there were rude. The first ignored me even when I kept saying "excuse me." The second didnt even say thank you or goodbye when I returned an item. He just went back to work and then looked up to say, "Do you want anything else?" in an annoyed tone. The third was nice. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Havent had an issue yet. Ive gotten two pairs of glasses in the past two years- Under promised, over delivered. Both times I was told glasses would be ready in a week and they came in within 3-4 days. Sales team seemed upbeat and egar to help. Good job, team.
