Spay & Neuter is a great place for your pet, they do TNR (& state required Rabies vaccines), strays--providing an Extremely affordable price for a "package" deal-well WORTH IT--a 5 in 1 vaccine, deworming, health assessment, Rabies [Required], for a measly xtra $10.00 for the low-cost Spay (requiring anesthesia, unlike male felines, but VERY Reasonably priced). They handle copious feral cats, with a busy office..understand this if you are asked to be put on paws (e.g. hold). I Only wonder why they cannot spay the less intrusive Ovario-ectomy, as opposed to an Ovario-hysterectomy; the latter removing more organs [& necessary under certain conditions], which was the case the now tame feral i recently brought in. Ive had numerous brought to Spay & Neuter since 2011, and ALL were fine afterwards. They are wonderful, quick, efficient, extremely affordable..keep vaccines up to date. Cons: Day hours, Must schedule ahead. No Emergency Care-clinic isnt set up for that, but the Vets & staff & Committed & Professional. PRO: Annual well care, & vaccine boosters. SuperPro: They are Located in P.G. county, but DO NOT cater to cats from other political boundaries. Pets/Strays/Ferals in need of population regulation (& an elongated live for pet dogs & cats), Welcome animals from surrounding counties...im aware people even come from Virginia. It seems odd, with the amount of homeless, & feral felines, that a Veterinary -PA is not a curriculum alternative. Todays physicians rely on PA-Cc & Nurse Practitioners, both trained with expertise and allowance of writing a patient RX, & generally giving them more 1 on 1 time. I recommend that the same be done for Veterinary Technicians, or College Grads with ~1 year+; learned the needed surgeries/sterilizations to bring feral feline populations under control. Further, Townhome and Apartment complex Managers should INSIST, 4 Pet-friendly apts, Renters need to PROVE their be neutered/spayed. Legislation would help. Training in Spaying & Neutering is a position that plays a significant role in our localities, and ends constant suffering of domestic pets forced to live on continually disappearing habitat..ALL HUMAN Induced. The Spay & Neuter Clinic in Laurel, MD [Van Dusen] ARE GREAT. I Never had Any Issues with the numerous males & females neutered or spayed (w/ the unbelievably priced additional for for an entire package", see above.

I had 2 terrible experiences at spay now. I brought my rabbit and my dog in to get spayed on the same day. My rabbit wasnt eating and I gave her the critical care supplements like they told me to. 3 days later I brought her back because I knew something was wrong. She was making grinding noises, she had not pooped and she was thin. The doctor told me she was fine, and that she had not lost much weight when I could see it was more than a pound, she said she didnt know what the grinding was and that she didnt have much experience with rabbits outside of spaying. I later find out that it meant she was in pain. She died 2 days after that in my arms after seizing. It was the negligence of the doctors at this place that resulted in my rabbits death. My dog on the other hand, her stitch was outside of her body. That later got infected and she got had to get a shot to make it better, and that worked out but I had to pay for it, it was about $15 and my dog weighs 5 pounds, the amount they charge you is the amount they use, so imagine how much it would cost you for a 70lb dog. After talking with the doctors through emails about the pain it put me through and how I believe my rabbits death was unjust they stopped responding to my messages, and told me to stop harassing them, which I was not. They also told me that it was okay that my rabbit died because they refunded me my money, no amount of money can replace a life that has been taken. My rabbit and dog are both my emtional support animals and I almost lost both of them. I also spoke to people who use to work here telling me they have never done the blood workup that is stated will be done before the surgery. So if that is what kind of people you want to put your animals lives hands in go ahead. I 100% do not recommend anyone ever going to this place.

Excellent Experience throughout the process of spaying our 5 month old female shih tzu mixed. At $85 their fee was one third less than offered by our vet without an unnecessary blood test and multiple visits. The front of the facility was clean and well maintained. We were welcomed in a stress free way and all went well from drop off to pick up. Special thanks to Carol for her extraordinary organized retrieval process and despite having delivered the post operative instructions countless times made it seem so personal showing patience in answering our routine questions. Thanks to Jamal for his kindness. The fellow handling the initial intake call can improve on his style by demonstrating a bit more patience with nervous first timers such as my wife and I. The practice may want to consider an automated recording for callers interested in knowing the procedures for drop off and pickup. It would have been a big plus if we could have met the vet or received a post operative followup call but the experience as a whole was excellent.

I really appreciate the simplicity of this facility, and have had great experiences with the vets that have see my pups. I bring by dogs here for routine shots and also get their meds here. However, the gentlemen at the front desk, and I use that term loosely, is the reason I cant give five stars. His phone skills are subpar and his listening skills are nonexistent. He is a total debbie downer and never seems to be enthused about his job, to the point of being rude. I would never want anyone to be out of work but perhaps he would do better in a role where he does not have to interact with the public? I will continue to bring my dogs here for their shots and keep my fingers crossed that I dont have to deal with the office grumpus. But Im not sure how much more of his unwarranted negativity I can take.

I got my 6 month old Puppy, Rocky neutered on June 30th at this location and was referred to me by my friend. I drove all the way from Annandale and was welcomed by Ericka. She was extremely nice and greeted us with excellent customer care and assured us that Rocky will be taken good care of. We received a call from them to pick up Rocky after the surgery after a couple of hours even though we arrived at the clinic at 4pm and they were supposed to be closed Kwame greeted us with a very friendly smile. He was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we had a few questions, and explained to us as to how to take care of Rocky and how to give him his pills after his surgery. Overall I would recommend all my friends and family.

I had a great experience with Spay now. They were friendly to my dog and were very professional. They did a great job with his dental. Having worked at former Animal clinics I tend to have a discerning eye. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because they brought my dog out and he had urine on him( heavy). I do understand this can happen out of surgery but they should have sprays to mask/ clean it up some and telling me would have been best. I picked him up and hugged him. Urine was all over me. Again, would I go there again, yes. They also sell heartworm Meds at a reduced rate.
