I used to hate going to the dentist. However, since moving and changing my dentist several years ago to Orangetown Smiles, I do not mind going anymore. Dr. Lewarts entire staff is kind, courteous, and professional. His front door receptionist is very friendly and always accommodating, even squeezing me in on occasions. Dr. Lewarts hygienist, whom I see twice a year is completely thorough, providing a comprehensive, careful and thorough cleaning. Moreover, Dr. Lewart is pleasant and extremely transparent during the consultation as to what needs to be done with my teeth. He communicates complex procedure so I can understand what needs to be done and what he will actually do, thus keeping me abreast every step of the way. Moreover, when I do ask him questions, he answers my inquires in a most pleasant manner. Dr. Lewart himself has a great bedside approach and manner, and is a very knowledgeable and skilled dental surgeon. Dr. Lewart has performed many various procedures on me - taken cavities out, tooth extraction, root canal, bridgework - and I have been completely satisfied on every occasion, without having any recurring follow-up problems - the sign of a successful procedure. Regarding the procedures, Dr. Lewart also tries to make sure I am in as much comfort as possible during the entire length of the procedure - especially important since I do have a very low tolerance of pain. Specifically, my biggest issue when having work done has always been with the administration of Novocaine - I freak out at the site of the the needles. The dentists I have gone to before it seems could care less about the pain it causes, but this was by far the best experience I have had with the administration of it. When Dr. Lewart administers Novocaine to me, I hardly feel the needle. Moreover, not only have the procedures gone seamless, but I have had a minimal of pain subsequent to them. Moreover, Dr. Lewarts staff seems to really work very well together - from the front door receptionist, to to the dental assistant and dental hygienists and to Dr. Lewart himself. Finally, I have found Orangetown Smiles to be reasonably priced, and never talked me into a procedure that was above my budget. I would, and have recommended Orangetown Smiles and Dr. Lewart to others :)

j. donovan: when reading the reviews for dr lewart ...check the dates...all of the recent reviews are within 2 to 3 weeks of each other????...must be asking people to give reviews (friends and family)????? dr lewart has deleted my review from the orangetown smiles facebook. He has blocked the ability to review his dental/medical services. That being said, when dr lewart removed my tooth (i asked him not to) i got very sick and in extreme pain. I told him i was going to go to the emergency room and he convinced me not to. 5 months later....had an mri...i have an infection in my gum because when doctor lewart removed my tooth he did not clean the socket (gum) ....he left dental material. also, instead of taking any type of imaging he convinced me to buy a poorly made night guard....it hurt my teeth. The WORST part of all of this: I TRUSTED HIM!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! He was so nice and convincing .....and instead of helping me he just told me to find a new dentist??????? now he is responding .....for me to just call him so he can help me ..... a year later??????? I just want my money back!!!!!!! like i said....Dr lewart took my health, my tooth and my money and my ability to trust dentists......he should be ashamed of himself....but he isnt...im sure he sleeps well at night.....because he just doesnt care. i have 3 small children to care for ...... while i am in pain and feeling ill...

Who loves going to the dentist? I used to fear and avoid it, but ever since I started going to Orangetown Smiles 6 years ago, I actually enjoy this previously unpleasant experience. Dr. Lewart and his staff treat each patient as if he or she is family. I know that Dr. Lewart is up on all the latest research and dental techniques and I trust him implicitly. He also has a good sense of humor and is very compassionate. His assistant Denise is a calming presence who always makes me feel at ease. Nicki, the hygenist, is thorough yet gentle and very pleasant. The receptionist/biller Annette has a great personality and makes getting appointments a breeze. Bari, the practice administrator, has assembled a group that makes me want to smile.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr. Lewart has a very nice office with an attentive staff. From the moment you walk in the office, you are greeted by a friendly face at the front desk. The wait time is very minimal! The office is spotless. The dental personnel are very professional. Dr. Lewart though, is THE BEST DENTIST you can ever have! He is knowledgeable and very thorough. His anesthesia techniques are second to none. The dental chair even has massage options. At the end of the procedure, you get a warm towel, which is a nice touch. Even the background music is pleasing! If you want excellent white-glove service, I recommend going to Dr. Lewart. I would not go anywhere else but to Orangetown Smiles!

Dr lewart provided me with a poorly made mouth guard. It hurt my teeth. I paid a lot of $$$ for it and cant use it. Dr lewart and his secretary told me to find another dentist after he extracted my tooth in may 2016 and i got sick and i am expiencing more pain than before my tooth was extracted. He will not refund me my money for the night guard unless i sign a waiver releasing him from any liabilities from any dental work he petformed. The night guard has nothing to do with the dental work he performed. After he extracted my tooth i got really sick and he did not take any xrays he just told me to find another dentist. J. Donovan

I have been a patient at Orangetown Smiles for almost a decade. Dr. Lewart is a wonderful dentist and provides quality services for any dental needs I may have. He is always happy to answer questions and his friendly demeanor helps create a relaxing atmosphere. The same can be said for the rest of the staff there as well. I have had various tooth related issues throughout the years and Orangetown Smiles has always performed a fantastic Job. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lewart for several years but recently needed to have an implant procedure at Orangetown Smiles. From the initial consult until it was finished, Dr. Lewart, Annette, and his staff made the procedure virtually painless and straightforward. I had put off the procedure for a long time and Im not sure why, it was not a major event. Go see him! Hes the best.

Dr lewart doesnt let people review him on Facebook (he blocks them?) caused an infection after extracting my tooth. And instead of taking any imaging (X-rays etc..) he provided me with a poorly made night guard then told me to find a new dentist? Rude and disrespectful!!
