The helpers are great. The Vet WASNT. He was the male middle eastern vet, they said he isnt there all the time and he only comes in when they need him, but the last 2 times Ive been there, ive dealt with him... And I will never go back. The helpers paid more attention to my dog than he did. It was a tooth issue, the helper comes in, takes his temperature, asks about him, asks whats wrong, actually crouched down and looks at the tooth in question and gave me information but said the vet would have to look at it because he knows more. The "vet" comes in, glances at the dog(from a standing position)while the dog is still between my legs and starts to type on the computer. Turns to me and says "its gonna cost XXX amount of dollars ...." I was extremely upset because there vet NEVER EVEN EXAMINED THE DOG! So i asked him how he could sit here and quote me prices if he never even examined my dog. I was furious, I have so much more to write, but honestly I dont care anymore. Banfield will never get another dime from me. All the care about is selling insurance and wellness plans.

This hospital is ALWAYS understaffed and have very few "pet-friendly" employees. Workers are stressed out and take it out on our animals. DO NOT EVER LET YOUR PET GO IN THE BACK. We signed up for the canine plan with Banfield. We were told we would have free visit and be able to do emergency walk ins which is a lie. They charge for EVERY SINGLE SERVICE even though you pay a plan monthly. Vets are not great, service is not great. Choose a different pet hospital. After having an appt set up for at least 5 month I get called 5 days before to tell me the Vet is sick and the hospital will be closed on the day of my babies appt. Whats worse is that they have NO AVAILABLE appt to make up for THEIR closure. So my dogs have to suffer yet again for their incompetence. If you can help it STAY AWAY FROM BANFIELD OF VALLEY STREAM. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE PET HOSPITAL. I feel terrible for having subjected my babies to this environment.

My dog, Manning and I had a wonderful experience at the Banfield Hospital in Valley Stream, NY. Mannings appointment was at 4 p.m. he was seen after a short wait. Dr. Cohen answered all my questions and handled my concerns regarding my dog. She recognized him from a previous visit where I had dropped him off to get his comprehensive exam. We are new to this Banfield and I have to say I am satisfied with the services we have received. We were back in our car on our way home after a few purchases at the Pet Smart by 5 p.m.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Their phone line has been out for over a month . The Pet Smart phone wont transfer me. The Banfield hospitals are so far from each other. I have an emergency with my dog and the corporate people wont help me with making an appointment. They put me on hold for a long time. I had to hang up. I am so disgusted with these people. Never again !!!

The worst pet shop ever. you call for because your pet is not feeling well you cant go in because they are always short of staff. when you call they put you on hold for more than 10 minutes and the appointment are for over a week . when ever you get an appointment you wait long time for the Dr. to see you. Dont go there.
