This review is for the Emergency Room. Only go here if youre having trouble breathing or are having chest pains, otherwise you will have a long wait ahead of you. I was here yesterday for abdominal pain and back pain. It took 3.5 HOURS just to go from the waiting room to getting a bed. I watched people that came before me get called before me because they prioritize and let the less severe cases fall through the cracks. I waited FOREVER for an ultrasound and possible Cat Scan. To make matters worse, when they finally came to get me for the ultrasound, the lady that came to get me left me because my bladder wasnt full while they put another patient ahead of me. NONE of the nurses had told me I needed a full bladder prior to this or I would have been prepared. When I finally got my ultrasound after 9pm, the ultrasound tech (nice guy, no complaints) told me that he was waiting for my bladder to be full since 5pm and had called for me. The nurses told me he was lying, but who knows. Not to mention,While waiting for hours for the ultrasound I called the hospital and spoke to the operator to try to get answers as far as how long my wait would be. I got a better response out of doing that than relying on the staff to keep me updated. After the ultrasound, I asked one of the nurses how long my wait would be. I asked her if it would be an hour, and she said probably 1 or 1.5 hours. Shortly after I saw a nurse, told her to remove my IV, then went to the receptionist and told her I want a doctor to review my results now, then no matter the outcome Im leaving. I complained about the issues I listed. Im not blaming a particular staff member but this hospital is so disorganized, theres no communication whatsoever, Ive even heard staff members give eachother attitudes because they needed help and expected it from eachother, its just ratchet. Think twice before coming here, unless you want to be here all day. I hope this review helped someone.

This hospital is AMAZING. Its so clean and the staff are SO helpful! Thank you to James in the ER for making the chaos and emotional day so much better. Symone, the ER tech, is an absolute DOLL. My mother, father, mother in law, father in law, my wife and myself have all been here. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Thank you to the ICU staff for ALWAYS being understanding and sweet during our most dire times of need, and the ER staff couldnt be greater. Thank you to the Transporters, Jean, Anthony, Freddie, and Jonathan for being so wonderful and getting us where we have to go. For the Doctors, Dr. Paula, Dr. Patel , and Dr. Tan were all SO helpful and were sweet as could be. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything to us and give us the peace of mind to get through the day. Without your patience and kindness, we would have been lost. Thank you to all of the staff, new and old who have taken care of our family, youve made an impact that cant be replaced.

Words cannot express my heart felt gratitude to this institution. I just want to say thank you to all those who were a part of my experience there. The emergency staff was the most caring and respectful people I have ever met. After being admitted for just a day.. from the time I entered the lobby the smiles and warm welcoming from the staff was very comforting. The surgical staff was The best ever...special recognition and thanks for making me feel so comfortable to my barbadian family Mrs. MARGARET... to my doctor and his surgical team..you were the best and I thank you all for taking such excellent care of me. To the hospital..keep it the excellent work you do there and again..thank you.

I had a great experience with Dr Sasson and his staff, as well as the staff of the hospital. Everyone was nice, helpful and attentive what a nice place to be when you really dont want to be there, They explain everything and allowed my relatives in when they could and were very attentive to them as well.Everything was great and done in a timely manner, even when i had to go for my second surgery i met up with the same level of care and responsibility as the first time. What a nice clean environment, with helpful and caring individuals....... If they had more stars id give them.................................................................... John Rosado

My family has frequented the hospital many times during the past 10 years, and there have been many improvements. Though the ER is short staffed on almost occasions, we find the staff to be compassionate, while maintaining their professionalism. In most instances, we have never had to wait longer than 15 minutes. The nurses and the doctors have always been very thorough and up-front with their diagnosis, and treatment plan. My only complaint is that the patient rooms are too small, and some in need of a paint job.

Franklin Hospital is consistently one of the worst hospitals I have ever experienced. For the last 15 years I have lived four blocks away. Every time I go there end up walking out and driving to Mercy or Long Island Jewish. The Emergency Room always looks dirty, the staff is less than friendly. Franklin Hospital should not be confused with the Orzack Rehabilitation Center. The rehabilitation center is top notch. Save yourself the aggravation and go to a real hospital.

Horrible experience on both occasions. Please dont waste your money or time. It is not worth a penny. Their staff totally neglects you, violates your HIPPA Rights, places you in a filthy foul smelling room, and guess what? they dont care. New Hyde Park LIJ & Cohens Children are well worth it!!! Please dont sacrifice cleanliness and hospitality to come here and be ignored. They have SOME wonderful staff members that are a blessing. But this facility deserves NEGATIVE stars!

I went to the ER for an extremely painful situation on 07/07/2017. I must say I was pleased by the entire experience. Everyone I came in contact with from registration thru discharge, was very pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable.I spent over 8 hours there, but it was all worth it to be assured that I was in better health than when I came in. God bless each and every one of you at LIJ Valley Stream emergency department.

I loved this hospital. I had to spend thanksgiving with them, not my ideal night but they made everything so much better. I had Angelina as a nurse she was the best and so nice to me. All the assistants; James, Charles and Joel were perfect in every way. The women who did not ultra sound I cannot remember her name but she was so sweet and very patient with me. Thank you all for everything. This place is awesome!

I dont what Alicia was talking about. The staff (all of them) were delightful and efficient. From the pre-op testing to the actual surgery, everthing was done on time. The nurses were very kind, friendly and helpful. The physical therapists came exactly when they said they would. We are thrilled that we chose this hospital and would recommend it to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery.

This is the worst hospital on long Island. Takes so long before any one will see you. No one checks in on you for hours. I was left Im a room I told the nurse I have a headache and I am bleeding and it took 2 hours before someone finally came by with a some rubbing alcohol and stitches. Next time I cut my hand I will drive the 1 hour away to Manhasset hospital
