My paw baby was diagnosed with cancer, had surgery to remove 5 locations, and is ready to take the next step to see a specialist, a veterinary oncologist, to begin chemo/radiation if necessary ASAP. I called about 2 weeks ago, as a new patient, for an appointment. They gave me the soonest appointment they could, Jan 2nd. (Days count.... minutes count... seconds count) A couple days after I called in the appointment I noticed my girls leg began swelling with fluid. After speaking to my regular Vet, I made a COURTESY call to the oncologist office,Kerry, to inform her of my girls new development and asked if there was anything the oncologist would need or would like me to have done before the appointment day about the building of fluid (aka- wanted to know if the oncologist would want a biopsy of the fluid/tissue of the surgery location), this way we would save time and be ahead of the game. Kerry informed me in a million different ways (although very nicely) that there was NOTHING they could advise me on since they have not yet seen my girl. I (quite literally) BEGGED Kerry to just find out if there is ANYTHING I could do or have tested that the oncologist would WANT in order to draw up the most effective treatment plan. Long story short, nothing was advised and we left the conversation with , "okay, see you on appointment day!" Fast forward a week, it is now a couple days before our appointment, which we have been preparing for and patiently waiting our turn for. As I am working I see a voicemail pop up- I listen to it, and its Kerry telling me that this was her third attempt to reach me about my appointment and if I didnt get back to them by 1pm, the appointment would be cancelled. I am listening to the message at 4pm, mind you, 3 hours after she told me she would cancel my girls appointment. I am SHOCKED, to be quite frank, to think that this business would have the AUDACITY to cancel a ONCOLOGIST appointment, KNOWING that I wanted the appointment and that we were waiting for it. I immediately, in a frantic frenzy, start fumbling through my messages to see when she had called! I found the Voicemails left at 10:39am, 10:50am and todays 10:56am.... clearly during WORKING hours- Im a very busy person trying to make this money for my girl. I call up right away, get a hold of Kerry and tell her no, dont cancel- Ive been busy, I work long shifts and cant get to my phone... too late. She tells me its too late, its already been cancelled. The soonest next appointment they can get me in is Jan 12, exactly 2 weeks from today. I tell her its not acceptable, and she needs to tell whoever she gave my babies appointment to that she made a mistake. She tells me again, nicely, no sorry, cant do it. I ask to speak to the manager- she gets me Crystal, another very nice lady, who also tells me there is no way she can get me back my appointment, which my sick daughter has been waiting and counting on... but she can get me in on the 12th. And that was that. (Not to mention I lost an entire days worth of pay for taking off work for our appointment.) This is not OK. This is NOT acceptable, no matter HOW you spin it. We made a verbal contractual agreement to meet on Jan 2nd at a certain time. I COUNTED on them... I TRUSTED them... I TRUSTED, as I sit in a pitiful cloud of uncertainty, that they would see my girl and HELP us.. help my baby. They failed my girl, and that is just something I cant live with... so I URGE you. DONT sit around, wasting time, thinking you have an appointment with this place- they clearly dont care about my sick girl or the fact that I lost a days worth of pay to put towards my girls bills). TIME Is of the essence when it comes to CANCER... I URGE YOU TO GO TO A PLACE YOU CAN COUNT ON NOT CANCELLING YOUR APPOINTMENT, ESPECIALLY ONE WHICH YOU CONFIRMED TWICE AND WERE HEAVILY INVESTED IN! Peace, love, recovery and HOPE to all who come by this message. May your paw babies be treated with the RESPECT they deserve as our loyal, patient wonderful companions. DO NOT LET THEM DOWN! GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. We had our fur baby, Chalupa Batman a 10 month old corgi, at Flannery Hospital over night on Tuesday because he fractured 2 leg bones. After calling our vet Wednesday morning, they suggested VCA. I contacted Flannery 3 times trying to get an update on my baby and was placed on holdtwoce and told they hadnt checked on him yet. So around noon Wednesday I called VCA explained situation they said bring him in. I drove to Flannery, terrible place, demanded to take him to another hospital and left with him. We got to VCA and immediately were greeted with support and friendliness. We saw vet in abouy 20 min and he was honest about all options. He was absolutely professional and kind. Love Dr. Andrews! With in an hour our Chalupa Batman was in surgery and in great hands. They called me after surgery, that night before he went to bed, and next morning to give updates. When we picked him up the next night he was in good spirits. Every person we encountered was kind, friendly, caring, and professional. It was also relatively priced. For the quality of service it was cheap. Love all yall! Thank yall, from The Harveys.

My vet recommended I bring my elderly cat to VCA for overnight intravenous antibiotic treatment for a tricky abscess situation that was not healing. My cat had been unable to eat and also has thyroid disease so had dropped quite a bit of weight. The vet I saw was kind but refused to give my cat the antibiotic treatment and insisted my cats problem was an out of control thyroid. I explained that the thyroid was out of control because he could not eat but the only advice I was given was to euthanize my cat. I decided not to listen to that advice and took my cat to another vet that administered a different antibiotic. It took some patience and time to heal the abscess but my cat is thriving 5 months later and has gained most of his weight back. Trust your own instincts and get a second opinion if youre able. Supporting staff is kind and friendly.

Absolutely overpriced!!!! My coonhound ate a corncob. After waiting for a doctor for well over an hour on a slow Thursday evening, I was told 1 of 2 options, he stay and be observed or they give him a drug (laxative) to inhibit vomiting and vomit to get it out at home. Neither were going to happen. Over $500 for a visit and X-ray. On top of all of that, they say their policy is to take 75% of the cost of services upfront. I requested that it be paid in full. 60 days later I have a bill for the remaining 25%. Bad billing practices and terrible customer service. Being be going back there again and will be recommending to my regular vetinarian to stop referring their services for her patients in off hours.

We took our cat to them when he appeared very ill after he had been missing for five days. They took him to the back immediately. They were extremely nice, and understanding throughout the entire visit. Unfortunately we didnt have the resources to save him, and had to put him to sleep. Everyone there was kind, the vets, the girl at the front desk. Everyone. I wish we could have saved our cat, but it was us that let him down, not the facility. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs emergency medical care for their pet. Also I dont think they were any more expensive than other local vets, I just think they are more thorough.
