Since I moved to Alabama Dr. Puttu was my primary care doctor. Dr. Puttu had advised me to get health insurance at my last appointment. It took a year for me to get my health insurance as well as a full time job. It was a process. I had called and made an appointment as soon as I got health insurance. It was set out for a month. I show up and the receptionist told me that they had, "sent out a letter of dismissal" and that I was dismissed as a patient and couldnt give me a reason as to why. I asked if they could refer me to another doctor and they basically told me Im on my own. This was very unprofessional and I will be glad to take my health to a practice that actually cares about their patients health and time. They had my phone number, they could have called me to tell me I was dismissed. I researched patient dismissals and I have never displayed any of those characteristics with Dr. Puttu. Very rude, and unprofessional staff! It was to my knowledge that a doctor could not dismiss a patient without them having another Dr. I am now looking into a medical abandonment case. I am also filing a complaint with the Alabama State Board.
