The reception staff was very welcoming, and the basic cleanings for my kids went by without a hitch. I appreciated the kid friendly atmosphere. All was well until my youngest daughter needed extra dental work. I felt ashamed because of the dental issues, and I was told that it happened to her because we didnt floss every time and it made me feel worse (we floss as much as we can--shes three and I have two other children so we forget from time to time. And, my other two children have no cavities, by the way--and they get the same dental cleaning practices at home). The actual dental work experience was fillings for her front two teeth. She didnt do very well with just the nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and the longer she sat the more anxious she became. Ill be the first to say that she was not the easiest patient! But, the work took a bit longer than was quoted (about 20 minutes longer) and in the end it was done, tears and all. Until the fillings were knocked loose while she was playing one day, and we needed to do caps instead. And that is where things went from "okay" to "bad." Because she was so anxious before, we opted to do conscious sedation with nitrous oxide and demerol to help her relax. Because she had the meds, they said that I was required to wait away from her. I was okay with it, at first. I was told the procedure would take 40 minutes, but an hour and a half later she was still back there--they kept telling me everything was fine. But, when I was finally let in to see her, she was drenched with sweat and clearly scared and upset. Now, while I understood the need for parental separation from procedures to help the kids, this process was clearly NOT helping my daughter and I was not properly communicated with that she was not doing well. I was furious and hurt that my daughter was put through that and I had NO idea. We had to do a follow up with them again, but with another dentist in the practice, and I was waiting for a long time in the room. Which, I didnt mind because they were trying to fit us in. But, with three kids under seven, I did my best to keep them entertained in a small space, which involved crackers and raisins. The first thing the dentist says is that "while raisins may taste good, theyre actually bad for teeth because..." I stopped the information stating that I was doing the best I could and he leaned over to his assistant and said, "Note the refusal for dietary advice." I was again made to feel that I was doing a poor job in taking care of my childrens teeth because I gave them raisins as a snack. It was humiliating. Now, as I said before, the reception staff was friendly and the location was clean. But I removed my children from their care and went to another dentistry where my daughter had two more fillings put in her back molars (poor thing) and she did just fine--I was so shocked! My current dentist also made a comment that her cavities/dental health can also be related to genetics; some people are just prone to more dental work. I will say that the reception and payment department were all very professional when I asked for all my childrens dental records, and I really did appreciate their kindness and understanding. While Kidiatric might work for most families, it was not the right fit for us. I would not recommend them if you have children who need work done very quickly.

Assistants and doctors are very patient and nice with the kids. I would be extremely satisfied with the overall experience if i did not end up with the impression that they go the extra mile .... to make sure they can squeeze as much money as possible from you. My kid had a gum infection and wend to Kidiatric for the first time, The experience was really nice and the doctor precribed and antibiotic and recommended to get his tooth removed. An appointment was setup in 7 days. I delayed the appointment because I was hoping for the tooth to fall by itself and to avoid the trauma to my kid. As the infection continued, we decided to go ahead and get it removed. They were very nice and found time for us the very same day we called, which is appreciated My surprise came when not only they took X-Ray again (which we try to avoid as much as possible) but we were charged again for the analysis!!! even if it was for the same reason and we did communicate with them all the time. I got very frustrated at the end because the dentist was suggesting for another tooth to get removed (while we were at it) and I said no out of frustration because of my earlier fee surprise. If only they had suggested to forfeit the analysis fee, I would have gladly paid for the second tooth to be removed .... Pity. Ended up very frustrated (and potentially one tooth too many) for what could have been a very good experience overall

Kidiactric Dental is absolutely wonderful! We started bringing our daughter here in 2014 and have had an amazing experience every time. Our daughter loves it! (No joke, my husband even loves it) The Doctor is amazing! The environment is great, everyone is great with instructions, and informing what treatment needs to be done (or what can wait), the dental care is amazing and the staff is wonderful! By far, the best Childrens Dentist we have ever been too. Not to mention they have a "parent bench" for parents to sit on and watch their children get work done, while being at a distance enough for space. They also have plenty of entertainment to keep your other children entertained (if you happen to have more children). We recently moved 2 hours away from Kidiactric...but our 9 year old daughter begs to keep her dentist at Kidactric! (We even tried 2 Childrens Dentists closer to home, due to the distance) Our daughter was begging for Kidiactric the entire time, so much, we ended up cancelling our appt in the middle of it, just to return back to Kidiactric. It is definitely worth the drive! (Must mean something is your child begs to stay there) We are currently expecting our second child in May and will definitely stay with Kidiactic for all our children. Very grateful for this dental office!

I calleed the office friday morning, it was the first week of school. I was worried abou an abscess on top of his upper tooth. They got us in right away. Our appointment was at 3:30 We arrived 30 min late because of multable car accidents on the way to the office. It was about 40 miles drive. We got to the office with our new patient form all filled out. They got us checked in right away. Then we waited for a short time. My son was playing with the fun video games they have in the waiting room. They had cold water, it was such a treat aftet driving for 90 min on the freeway in the heat...!! Then the dental assistant took us on a tour to see the office. My son liked the office tour. It put him at ease and comfort. The entire dental team was very friendly, from front desk to the dr. My son , almost 4 years did amazing. He let them take x-ray on him, despite the sever active gag reflex. The assistant did a very good job on him. Then the dr .examined him. He was very friendly. They cleaned his teeth and he got flourid varnish. They checked and it was not an abscess. Over all it was AWESOME First visit to the dentist. Thanks to the dental team that made my sons first dental visit fun and easy.
