My appointment felt rushed. This was my first time seeing a chiropractor and it almost turned me off of chiropractic work altogether. The appointment was my first so it was an assessment and adjustment. The whole process of her assessment and adjustment took 30 minutes. Ive gotten massage therapy for almost 20 years now; I understand what good bodywork can be and what it feels like when the therapist/doctor pays attention to what your body is telling them. The treatment I got from Dr Peymani was not good bodywork. The adjustments she made did not seem specific to the condition that brought me into her (a rib head out of place). This made me feel like she didnt listen to me, and didnt assess my body or condition before giving me a standard treatment that could have been given to anyone. If you want your back and neck cracked, go here. But If you want treatment focused on your body and specific to improving your condition, I would recommend that you go elsewhere. I chose her because it was close to work and she had a same day appointment available. After this bad experience I did much more research and I found another chiropractor that spent much more time assessing and working with my body to fix the issue.

Terrible Experience! Performed Adjustment & went through insurance. Saw the "allowable amount" by contract according to BCBS and lit up my phone begging for call back to "explain the circumstances". Emailed me that they only filed 1 claim for an adjustment to (like they were doing me a favor) but that was the only service we agreed to / only service performed. Upon my paying my portion of the claim her office then proceeded to file 2 more fraudulent claims (one of them was even filed Out-of-Network according to my insurance company). I filed a grievance with BCBS and notified the office. Dr. then sent me a 3 page letter cutting down my insurance company, insulting my character and intelligence, but most importantly incriminating herself of fraudulent claim (filed intake claims on my second visit; when I had different carrier). Bad look. Bad Business.

Dr. Parissa Peymoni is nothing short of a miracle worker. I met Dr. Peymoni when training for the Nike Womans Marathon in 2005. Having years of past injuries creep up on me, causing me discomfort both during and after my runs, I knew I could not put off seeking chiropractic care any longer. The treatment from Dr. Parissa has not only healed my years of ailing pains in my back shoulders,and neck, it also has healed my female cramping problems that would inevitably return every month. Dr. Peymoni is exceptionally professional, and precise about her work. I maintain monthly and sometimes quarterly treatment with her, depending on my bodys needs, which has kept me in great health for eight years. I would challenge anyone who rates this Doctor less than 5 stars. She is truly a find.

The staff is completley rude!!! Previously I bought a coupon for 3 30min massages for $40. This coupon turned out to be more of a hoax. I scheduled my first massage over the phone. When I went in for my massage they tried to charge me, claiming that I had scheduled the massage for an hour! The scheduling clerk (Vanessa) told me to "NOT WASTE OUR TIME." The massage was fair, but I was so angry by the time I got it that it was horrible. She kept insisting over and over that I was wrong. Because I had already bought the coupon, I still wanted to redeem my other 2 massages. I asked to schedule the other 2 after the rude massage experience. They immediately claimed that they were completely booked. I never redeemed my 2 other massages and I had a horrible experience.

This was a terrible experience. Dont go for the massage. I went in for a massage and the receptionist was completely out of line. I had a coupon for a massage which I had previously paid for. She accused me of booking a 1hr massage when I confirmed over over on the phone that I wanted a 30 min massage. She then said that I "wasted her time" ...as if her time is that important anyway! geez. Since I was stuck with this coupon I had 3 more massages to use up. The receptionist said "ill give you a call back, but I think were all booked." What a hag! The massage was fair, not strong enough in my opinion. I was proabably too tense after that experience to relax. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Dr Peymani has been treating my chiropractic needs for over 6 months. I appreciate the time and attention her staff pays to me. Its nice to have a practicioner who is "your doctor" rather than feel like cattle coming and going through traditional large scale providers. I encourage you to read other reviews on other sites (the big one that starts with Y) of Dr Peymani to get a better understanding of the quality you will receive at Emeryville Chiropractic.

I saw Dr Peymani this morning for an adjustment and the experience was great! The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the doctor was professional, knowledgeable and best of all, I feel much better after the visit!
