King Chiropractic has been an integral part of my health care for many years. I have always been extremely happy with the results of my treatments. A few years back, my visits were much more frequent. I used chiropractics to deal with chronic pain, arthritis. I now only have to see Dr. Shapiro once or twice every three months for maintenance to my arthritic neck and spine. He also works on my wrists and arms, and shoulders. He keeps me working, and out of pain. The method which he uses is very gentle, yet powerful. I wish everyone in my family could see Dr. Shapiro, but they dont live near Eureka. They all suffer from arthritis and very serious chronic pain, and have to take cognitively debilitating pain relievers. I rarely take anything, other than an occasional ibuprofen. I dont need it! When I do have pain, it is an indication that something is not quite right, and its time to see Dr. Shapiro. Over the years he has always been extremely supportive, his staff friendly, and his facilities pleasant and clean. And most of all, his treatments are effective and contribute greatly to my health and well being.

As a disabled vet, my military service connected injury subjects me to chronic back problems. These injuries, as a current peace officer, make my line of work difficult. After my back went out the last time, I was in bed for 3 days with debilitating pain. After that, I managed to hobble around with walking sticks for several days, while bent in two. I had to see Dr. Shapiro. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, he also uses state of the art technology and techniques. At no point during treatment was I in any pain as he was able to adjust to my injury and "work around" the pain. I was thoroughly impressed that after my first treatment I was able to drive the 2 1/2 hours home (yes, hes worth the trip!) after hardly being able to walk. The staff and Dr. Shapiro went out of their way to work me into the busy schedule. This required multiple calls on their part. They really put forth an effort which I greatly appreciate. Thank you, King Chiropractic!

Dr. Shapiro quickly diagnosed a serious neck/shoulder issue (which was causing numbness down to my fingers!), and I felt a 50% improvement after the first session. Doing the exercises he prescribed and seeing him and his therapists a couple more times led to 100% recovery; and today (as I continue his exercises) my neck and shoulder are better than theyve been in years. After this success, I asked him to tackle my irritated, inflamed forearms -- a condition that Id lived with for a year and a half despite treatments and exercises from two PTs. Treatment for this has taken longer, but after about 12 visits, my forearms are 90%, and Im starting on an exercise program with Dr. Shapiros guidance to rebuild grip strength. In Dr. Shapiro and his staff, Ive found a terrific resource for treating musculo-skeletal problems. Id feel confident in bringing any problem of this nature to him, and I recommend him highly.

Short story: I had a knee injury, thought I would need surgery, but after treatment, I am completely recovered. More: For 4 months after injuring my knee, it felt like it was being stabbed with an ice-pick; I could only hobble around. I tried heat and cold, and anti-inflammatory pills. No change. After the first visit at King Chiropractic, the stabbing pain was gone, but I still had residual aching and weakness. Over time, with every treatment, my knee noticeably improved. I had times when I could not be treated for months (out of area), during those times, there was no change positive or negative. Then I went back to be treated, and the progress continued. Finally, I am back to normal, with no pain, and no weakness. I am so thankful I did not have to have surgery. I highly recommend King Chiropractic.

Suffering with a sharp pain in and under my shoulder blade area, I decided to go to Dr. Shapiro. (I have always walked out of his office 100% better.) Only this pain was a soft tissue (muscle) problem. He has continued to work with me on this and I can say happily that it is 75% better. His staff are so friendly, and his treatments are painless. I would never go anywhere else for treament. I remember not long ago my husband was in a car accident, it left him unable to walk, without assistance. I took him to Dr. Shapiro. Within a couple of weeks, he was back to work and doing everything he loves to do. He is still pain free today. If you have any kind of pain, even something you dont think can be helped by a Chiropractor, go to Dr. Shapiro FIRST. You will be amazed!!

Dr. Shapiros painless chiropractic adjustments have been a life-saver for me. During various activities over the years, I would inevitably find myself with a herniated or bulging disc and extreme pain in my low back. At times, I could barely walk to get into his office. After 1 adjustment, I was able to stand up straight and walk again; after 3 or 4 adjustments, he would have me back to my normal activities. I am currently participating in the Spinal Decompression therapy (which is also painless) and which I believe is giving significant and lasting pain relief. The entire office staff has been so kind and professional. If you are living with pain, I would HIGHLY recommend that you visit Dr. Shapiro & King Chiropractic. The results of his treatments are amazing!

I had right shoulder pain, back neck pain & left hand would go into spasms when I picked anything up over a pound or two. I had 1 adjustment then 2 therapy sessions and another adjustment session (yesterday), Dr.Shapiro manually adjusted my neck on this session and when I woke up this morning the majority of my pain was gone. Im still a little sore but think this will go away. I havent felt this good in 3 months. I hope next time "when I get out of wack" I wont wait so long. I have been going to Dr. Shapiro for 5-6 years and think the world of him. His staff is very efficient and pleasant. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Dr. Shapiro and the staff of King Chiropractic have a focus on patient wellness and truly care about each individual they treat. I experience tremendous pain relief after a chiropractic treatment with Dr. Shapiro. He has shown me simple, effective exercises for relieving my neck pain and provided other recommendations that have been crucial to managing my neck pain. The scar tissue and laser work provided by Katie has made significant improvement in my range of movement and pain as well. Dr. Shapiro has made a tremendous difference in my Wifes Sciatica pain in her low back. She now has no symptoms of this pain, which she lived with for at 20 years. Dr. Shapiro has a great relationship with his clients, very caring, great sense of humor. Actually, I now refer to his practice as "Peachy" King Chiropractic. He has never failed to give good advice and instruction to help us to help ourselves with exercises that are easy to do and very effective.
