We were evacuated from our home in the Marysville area on 2/12/17 due to the situation at Oroville dam, in the confusion of gathering all the things we would need to take with us the medications for one of our dogs was unfortunately forgotten, the little dog has an enlarged heart and takes Vetmedin and Lasix for that condition. We explained the situation to the receptionist at Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital and with absolutely no concern for our situation during this stressful time she replied "Were not a pharmacy, you must bring the dog in for an examination" OK granted that is the policy of vets under normal circumstances but this is far from a normal circumstance, Vetmedin and Lasix are not drugs that anyone would abuse as a recreational drug and the lack of any compassion exhibited by this person just disgusted me!

Ive been taking my dog to Motherload since he was a puppy, hes now six and a half. The staff has always been kind and professional. Even though I moved to Modesto over a year ago I continue to take my dog to this vet. I love that they communicate your treatment options and give you a clear idea of each possible diagnosis. They are incredibly reasonably priced as well. They genuinely seem to care about the community, I was a Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy raiser and they did all the veterinary care for the price Guide Dogs allowed and even billed them directly. They also routinely run vaccination clinics.

I went to Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital for the first time with my small dogs, Skeeter and Tinker. I was so pleased with their service. I have never had a vet treat myself and my dogs better! I have two pets who can be very nervous at the vet, and the vet and staff at Mother Lode were very understanding. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the bill. We will DEFINITELY return to Mother Lode Veterinary Hospital.

Both the front desk employees and the vets were fantastic here. Dr. Thompson was super friendly and thorough and the prices were very reasonable. Even when we received sad news about the health of our kitten, everyone was so kind. They even sent us a card after our kitten was put down and that, to me, just shows they are the kindest people who really love what they do. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The team is fantastic. I was very scared and the Vet personally called me to discuss and ease my fears-he didnt blow me off or just placate me he talked to me. the day of the procedure they were fantastic, had my dogs best interests in mind and let me be with my dog. SUPER EXPERIENCE. considering changing over to them permanently!!

The best. Taking excellent care of all my furbabies. I never worry about how theyll be treated/handled. The entire staff cares about my animals like I do. Prices are very fair. I have pet rabbits. They dont price gouge me just because rabbits are considered "exotic". Plus, all the vets are rabbit savvy. I couldnt he happier!

Tim is excellent as the the staff. If you have a small dog like a Yorkie this is the only place to go, just remember greatness tends to influence personality so dont let that bother you.
