I am relatively new to the area and found Dr. Steve during a search for a Functional Medicine practitioner in Orange County. I worked for more than a year with endocrinologists, my GP and endured lots of tests. I was finally diagnosed with Hashimotos and honestly these traditional practitioners were unable to help alleviate any of my symptoms. As a 53 year old woman, I came to Dr. Steve with chronic joint pain, low back pain, general edema, fatigue and insomnia. Within a couple of months I was close to symptom free for the first time in over 2 years! His approach to diagnosis and treatment was clear and easy to follow. Ive always been skeptical about using supplements, but I can actually feel the benefits of the treatment program Ive been on. I also appreciate how open to feedback Dr. Steve is - he doesnt force a particular approach if it isnt working for me. He is very well read and always seems headed to the latest training or is talking about some recent research that could have bearing on my treatment. Finally, Id just like to say that Dr. Steve is one of the nicest people Ive worked with in any capacity. I couldnt recommend him more, whether its for a routine adjustment or a full workup. Since my childhood I have struggled with lower back pain, something I have just gotten accustomed too. Recently though, I also was experiencing problems in my upper back. I walked in to Dr. Steves office with pain throughout my entire back. From the very beginning he was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Steve has the commanding demeanor that gives a quiet confidence but also a welcoming presence that makes you feel safe. He started by walking me through what was wrong and not only fixing my current pain but starting the road to long term recovery as well. The first month seeing Doctor Steve was amazing, I was experiencing less pain in not only my upper back but also in my lower back for the first time in 15 years! Dr Steve stands out from other Chiropractors that I have been to because of his knowledge, honest approach and results. I am going to continue to work with Dr Steve and work towards a healthier, happier, pain free life.

I was 7 months pregnant when I went to Dr Steve Hyjek for the first time. My sciatic nerve and lower back were causing me such pain and discomfort that it made it difficult to walk. The pain just made me feel miserable. A couple of our friends recommended Dr Hyjek. After getting adjusted I felt so happy! I had totally forgotten how it feels to walk pain free... its awesome! I was so happy with the results that now my whole family is seeing him regularly. Our little son was 4 days old when he got his first adjustment. And our girls (7yrs and 3yrs) love going to "Dr Stevies" office. I would highly recommend him, especially anyone with any aches and pains, or just wanting to maintain a good overall health.
