Horrible experience at Pacific Physical Therapy in Monterrey . Despite the fact Dr.Mark Young is a nice guy , the front desk staff are so unfriendly .I noticed they never smiled or welcomed the patients , they only care about collecting the co-pay. If you come late for few minutes it is like the end of the world with their unhappy looks .I had an emergency and I could not make the appointment ,when I came in my next appointment, the first thing even without saying hi to me or ask for the reason. Cheri the front desk lady asked me to pay $25 for being absent last time without asking about the reason .She was so rude and caring only about the money .This was unprofessional .I was upset and I handed her the credit card and I told her "I am not happy and I do not like to continue coming here" .Cheri told me if you did not meet the doctor today she will charge me another $75" . I told her "I am not happy and I like to reject your service as I do not feel treated right".Without listening, she swiped the card without my consent and charged me .Regardless. I will dispute the charge and file BBB complainant ,There were some incidents that I arrived for my appointment on time and I had to wait without complaining I could not believe or expect this unprofessional behavior from the front desk .This is really unpleasant experience to me not for asking to pay the late fee which is nothing to me but for unprofessional way she had .If I were Dr.Mark I would have fired the front desk staff immediately for severe lack of professionalism and very poor social skills and poor customer service.I felt the need to share my opinion and I will not recommend Pacific Physical Therapy in Monterey CA after this unpleasant experience.

I absolutely love Pacific Physical Therapy. I have had lower back problems for at least six years, and this is the third physical therapy practice from which I have received care (I’ve lived in three different states in the last six years). Pacific Physical Therapy is the only practice that I have actually felt relief after my visits and prescribed home exercises. They are very knowledgeable, and really care about their patients. This is in response to Gamal Kalini’s review of Pacific Physical Therapy. I have been a patient here for a while now, and from the very first visit I was made aware of their absences and late policy. Patients have to sign a form acknowledging and accepting the policy, which clearly explains the practice’s definition of an unexcused absence, how much time is required in advance to cancel an appointment, and the fee schedule if a patient has more than one unexcused absence. I cannot believe that Cheri did not ask why the other patient missed the appointment. If a patient is more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, they are asked to reschedule. It is a small practice (with only three physical therapists), but very busy. Sometimes, yes, appointments do not start on time, but this is more than likely due to a previous patient being a few minutes late. I have never witnessed any unprofessionalism from the office staff.

Front desk was friendly, I was led into a room that was also the storage room for their equipment. The PT was friendly but really didnt seem very confident in what he was doing. Couldnt really give me any idea as to what my treatment program would entail. Spent 5 minutes of my appointment to print a copy of 2 exercises to do. Actually utube taught me more about my disc problem and how best to treat it. The owner passed by me a few times and being a new patient I would expect to at least be noticed, not even eye contact. It seemed like I didnt exist to him. I will stay with my own research and rehab. Total waste of my time there.
