I agree with most of the comments. I had severe pain my foot. I saw the Doc. in Rancho, he told me to get an x-ray. I had to go to Loma Linda. After the x-ray I saw my Doc again. He said there are no brakes or fractures in my foot. He said it was probably arthritis and he told me to take some Tylenol. I didn’t believe him, so I insisted on see a specialist. So now it’s about 2 weeks later. My foot is like 8 to 10 on the pain scale. I finally see the specialist. As soon as I walk in he tells me I have crack in a bone in my foot which is very common as people get older. Using a computer he even showed me the x-ray of the crack. It was so visible I saw in instantly. So I ask why my Doc missed it. No one could tell my why. I had the surgery and everything went well. So I changed Doc’s to a Doc in Loma Linda. The service in Loma Linda wasn’t much better in the module I was assigned to so I changed Doc’s again. The service is a little better but it still is a pain in the ass. I do have to say the VA has helped me a lot. Maybe even save my life. I have met few very caring and competent people there that will go out of their way to help you. There is also a lot of dead wood who have worked there for years and some how management has overlooked there incompetence. I blame upper management for most of the problems in the VA. Some of them get into management just because they have been there so long. Last it is still a struggle to get an appointment, so I tell them the pain level is like a 10 so the Doc will see me or at least call me. And I’ll leave it there for now.

I should have seen the red flag when I was told that I would have to wait 5 months for an initial appointment with a doctor. After that, I could not make an appointment with my doctor. Did not hear or talk to the doctor for weeks. Played telephone with nurses to talk to the doctor in person and over the phone. Would be told that I would be called back and did not multiple times? Extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. Heard from VA Loma Linda that they are not part of the VA system and under Loma Linda Hospital, so they do not follow through properly with procedures. If I could not get an appt, because they were booked, I would like to have known upfront instead of getting the run around. Now, I decided that this Clinic and Corona would not be suitable and I would have to try seeking healthcare services at VA Loma Linda instead. If that does not work, I will have to go to another county all together or back to San Diego.

I would give Zero stars if that was possible. As a veteran, I try to use the Loma Linda VA over this clinic. The Doctors are very incompetent and do not care about veterans at all. I am switching Primary Care Providers, but from talking to other veterans, it sounds like its a better option to just switch to the Loma Linda VA and take the drive out there. It takes months to get any appointment and staff rarely wants to help with anything. They truly do not seem to care about veterans at all. Doctors will make up any reason to not help you. My Doctor was Dr. Sidar (Cedar?) (Sp?). Horrible Doctor. Horrible clinic. They have never once helped me with any medical problem I came in for, every time I wasted my time and ended up having to go to Loma Linda.

I have to say - the negativity in the posted reviews is alarming. Rancho Cucamonga VA Clinic is my clinic and Dr. Lau has served me well. Being in healthcare myself, I understand that there are a lot of people who want instant satisfaction, but that just is not the reality of our healthcare system in general. Having been a federal employee, I also recognize complacency and the "what are you going to do - for me?" mindset. The VHA has its faults, but so does healthcare in the U.S. in general. In my humble opinion, I believe that we should measure the VHAs service fairly and try to find a solution to issues when they arise, rather than just complain. I have no complaints for RCVAC - they have always been quick, helpful and courteous.

After reading all the reviews, I was a little worried it would take a long time to schedule an appointment. When I called the phone was answered after 2 minutes of wait time. Within another 4 minutes they had me scheduled for the same day in the afternoon. Unfortunately I was at work that afternoon, but they were able to schedule me the following morning. I have had no complaints with this clinic. Always quick and courteous.

I cant explain it, just bad experience with these nurses once again. I dont understand why they figure we know everything. I didnt know I was done, didnt know where to go for Xrays. Almost snapped but claimed myself and had to tell everyone what the doc said so I could get guidance when the nurse could have simply helped out since she new everything. I really hate come g to VA and avoid it at all cost until I need help.

NO STARS. No nada except referral to Loma Linda for damn near everything. These fers got sum stones thinking they have any justification calling bandages a medical facility. U cud close the place and place fliers w directions and contact # to Loma Linda VA and it wud be less disappointing. When the budget cuts come along.. Let ME deliver the notice to this place.

Long wait times on phone when calling in...last time I was cut off at 65 mins before anybody came on the line. Thought VA was working on this issue. The care is fine at both Rancho and Loma Linda...being in the medical field, before retirement, I am a good judge of quality care and the VA is there. Just need to fix the wait times when calling in.

I went from the frying pan to the fire. I didnt like my first Dr. so I changed Dr.s only to get one worse than the first one. Dr. Serabyn is rude and has no manners at all! she looks down on you, and is very condescending! Also why even have Myhealthevet to expedite communication if youre not even going to reply to Emails.

not too happy. we got a call the morning of our appointment that they had to cancel....wtf?? doesnt the doctor look at her schedule a week before hand and know whats going on?? The soonest she wanted to reschedule was at the end of the month!!!!! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

"Please remain on the line...." for 22 minutes and still holding.....still holding. Typical for this facility. No other like it, at least in my experience. Seeing other similar reviews makes you wonder if they care about the reviews or the veteran for that matter.

As a veteran, I hate VA. You have better luck at the DMV. I was on hold for 20 minutes just to be out back on hold. Grant it when you do get service it is actually somewhat decent. But its like waiting on a two hour rollercoaster ride just for a 10 second ride

Ive been taking my dad to this location for several years. Theyve made some improvements over the years: the hold time when calling the clinic is much shorter, the front desk is very helpful, and wait times to see the doctor once were there is also quick.
