I used to be a big fan of Primary Eyecare. I got excellent glasses and service from them. They had an excellent optician who is no longer there. The last time I went there was a nightmare. I will say that Dr. Hider was very good and tried to make it right. It was a particular opticians attitude and lack of expertise that made it an exasperating experience. They couldnt get my prescription sunglasses right. They tried three pairs; the first was painful to wear and the tint was way too light. The second would fall right off my head if I nodded. The third pairs lenses were off so my vision through one eye was always a little out of focus. And I paid over $700. Lauras attitude seemed to be that my complaints were frivolous. She clearly didnt want to deal with me once we started having difficulties with the glasses. She didnt care! Such a shame for someone with a rotten attitude to drag down a business. I finally contacted Dr. Hider and he sent me a refund.

Dr. Hider is caring and intelligent. He has a gift for working with children and makes the apt fun, while at the same time educating them on what he is doing and why. He also seems committed to community service. In fact, I discovered him when he came to my "mommy group" over 8 years ago when I had my first baby and I so appreciated the fact that he took time out of his day to come and educate us on eye care for infants and children. His office staff are professional and nice to deal with and the office is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this doctor!

Ive been seeing Dr. Hider for nearly 15 years. Ive always found their staff to be friendly and professional. Through regular monitoring of my eye pressure, Dr. Hider detected that it was getting high, and rose to above normal levels, which means Glaucoma. Fortunately, because he caught it so early, I was able to get on Rx drops to reduce the pressure and no damage has been detected in my nerves. I go in about 2-3 times a year for monitoring which has proved to be excellent preventive maintenance and care of my eyes.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hiders for the last 10 years. Hes very knowledgeable, a very good communicator, and an all-around good person. His supporting staff are also wonderful to work with. The last time I was there to pick up my new glasses, the optician would not let me leave (in a good way, of course) until I was fully satisfied with the vision correction and fitting.
