CHAVES...You have responded to this review. YOU ARE A LIAR! You know nothing of what I went through and have been going through you only learned of my fungus pain and your damages from my reviews so dont comment on things you dont know about. You dont know what Doctors I have seen or have any records of them. Your just trying to save your butt. I had two root canal specialist say that both your root canals failed. Would you like their info? You are more than happy to make a fool of yourself. I have letters stating they failed as well. You raped tooth #30. It can not be fixed unless I get surgery. Why dont you comment on how great of a guy you are by fixing the damages you caused? But instead your so worried about your reputation. You are pathetic to make this stuff up you must be so desperate for work as you should be! MY REVIEW... I was not seen at this office but at his woodland hills office. Ive had 4 root canals by Dr Chaves, and all 4 of them needed to be re-root canal-ed with in a year. One of the crowns he put on after the root canal was faulty so I need that tooth eventually extracted, so I had tooth #30 extracted Aug 2012 and a top tooth not sure of # its the 2nd molar on right upper side. They were both so badly pulled I lost a great deal of bone so now I cant get an implant that was planned after the extraction. I have nerve damage in my tongue and lip that from the damage, a bad lisp, and a burning sensation in my mouth which I heard is also from nerve damage. Im a mess! I now need an oral surgeon to repair all the damage to get me back to normal to get implants Which is big bucks! I have to go through a 4-6 hour surgery and have bone removed from my hip to replace all the bone loss. Mind you I had gone back to show Dr Chaves the problem several times and he said I was fine. He would not admit his fault in this disaster. I have been in pain for 21/2 years. Due to Dr. Chaves faulty root canals both 1 & 2 my two front teeth the first time failed in 2012. I asked him to pay to have these done right. He refused and said he will re do them and that he was confident they would work this time so I let him redo them January 2013 which failed again as per Dr. Lazarou from Southern California Endodontic Group around february 2013 after 2nd root canal failed. My oral surgeon said Dr. Chaves could have messed me up anymore if he tried. He has ruined the past 21/2 years of my life and more to come since the oral surgeon said I now have permanent nerve damage. So for the rest of my life I will lisp, burn and feel numb in my tongue and lip. Ever since the last root canals in January 2013 I now have a fungus that has been growing on my tongue and roof of mouth. I have been to hospital; three times due to this. Dr. John M. Chaves needs to no loner practice dentistry. I called him today 3/5/15 at his office telling him I need help to fix the pain that I am enduring meaning wanting him to take responsibility for his wrong doing and send me to someone who can help me and with no charge of course He was rude and hung up on me. I called back three times after he hung up on me and he wouldnt talk to me. I tried suing this dentist but suing a doctor is like seeing the pope. Hes cocky and arrogant stay away from Dr. Chaves.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Quality of Service and Professionalism I experienced throughout my 2 years invisalign treatment with Dr Chaves and his team.I am very fussy about who looks after my teeth and Dr Chaves is the only one I would TRUST. We are always given the best advice and options available and everything is explained clearly so we can make the best decisions possible regarding our dental care. Great doctor and great service.I recommend Dr Chaves and his Dental team for anyone seeking first class dental treatment in West Hollywood, especially if you have an aversion to pain! Dr. Chaves is hands down the most amazing dentist. Hes much more than that though. He is someone who really cares about his patients, and not just their teeth. He has gone out of his way to make sure I am always taken care of. I have a full set of veneers that were done by him. Recently I broke one of my front veneers. Dr. Chaves immediately got me in the next day, took care of my smile. My wife started seeing him too. She also loves him! We have a little girl on the way and she will for sure see him too when that time comes. I highly recommend Dr. Chaves and his staff!
