This may have been a good vet in the past, That is no longer the case. Between the owners ridiculous employment policies, building lack of cleanliness and owners possible mental health issues this place has turned into a possibly dangerous situation for employees, patrons and patients..... The receptionist has been forced to choose between her health and her job, no call out policy has forced her to work the counter with strep throat not just once but twice (not cool, especially considering the education level of the owner), one of the vet techs was forced into the same position while on crutches and ended up injured worse (diagnosed concussion)after a fall and blow to the head, to make it worse injury was not reported to business owner by person in charge for over 48 hours (would you want that person in charge of your sick or injured pet)In fact that tech was told she should be more careful and return to work...what if she had injured a patient ? Unsealed floors with tile coming up may lead to mass bacterial infections, the bathing area smells of mold, taking chances with the health and safety of employees and the public is not condusive to the safety or heath of your pet/patient This is not a good formula for anything but grief. Its a roll of the dice for you or your pet by simply stepping through the door, from the moment you speak with the possibly contagious receptionist to walking your animal down the bacteria filled hallway to possibly being hurt worse or crushed to death by an employee who should not be at work anyway. But ultimately the decision of were you take your animal is yours. Lots of good vets in the Springs, unfortunately this is no longer one of them. Visiting Colorado Springs from out of state when our fur baby became unexpectedly ill. We called multiple offices who told us they couldnt see us, or some who told us to wait until after hours when we could call the emergency vet. When I called Cook the receptionist was very empathetic and told me their day was full but shed see what she could do. She came back and offered us a time slot within the hour to see the doctor. The office was conveniently located and easy for even a tourist to find. The place was very clean and didnt have that dog/bleach depressing smell a lot of offices get. Our dog couldnt tell it was a vets office until the thermometer went in... Everyone from reception to techs to the doctor were a very warm and welcoming group of ladies. They seemed genuinely concerned and caring, which is very much appreciated from someone who considers their dog a child. They administered fluids and and some medicine, and diet recommendations to get our dog back to her old self. If we were local this would no doubt be our regular doctor. Big thanks from Bea!

I have been using Cook for a long, long time. My dog was a patient since he was 9 weeks old. I have always loved their service and their downtown location. My dog grew old and it was time to say goodbye to him. I chose to take him back to Cook. Their service is still friendly but it would appear they are not as competitive for pricing as they once were. I believe ownership has changed hands and I am sure they have added new equipment, personnel, and other reasonable costs. I in know way hold this against them. They rising costs are justified, but I have chosen to go elsewhere for future treatment of my pets. I still had a good experience; or to say that they treated me and my dog well considering the circumstances. This experience was just very costly is all compared to other animal hospitals I shopped recently.

The best. Convenient and well-priced, they will go out of their way to help in time-sensitive situations (e.g., emergencies, concerns, appointments). Offering a variety of treatment options, these well-educated and caring vets consider traditional and non-traditional solutions for your non-human loved ones. Surgery and pills are not always the only (or best) option, and Cook Veterinary Hospital understands that natural, homeopathic, Eastern, and Western medicines have their strengths and weaknesses. On-site lab work and price-matching options, educational materials, professional referrals, technologically advanced equipment, and lost pet/forever home pet listings are just a few ways that they show that you, your pets, and this community matter.

These guys are absolutely wonderful. I fist went to them with our new puppy late last year. I wanted him to be seen by a caring vet with a loving atmosphere and thats exactly what he got! Now we have 2 doggos and have to get them to Hawaii. They knew exactly what needed to be done and are helping us every step of the way. Ive compared pricing and this is definitely where you want to go if you are moving your furbabes to Hawaii. The entire staff involves themselves with what you need and as a team, take care of your animals. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest and reputable veterinary clinic.

I found Cook veterinary when looking for somebody with weekend hours. They helped ease a very difficult time when my almost 8 year old dog was suddenly diagnosed with terminal conditions. I went to the emergency vet Saturday afternoon and had a follow up with Cook Sunday AM. They were able to confirm the diagnosis and provide other information to ease my decision. I really appreciated the at home euthanasia options as my dog was able to enjoy his last moments on the deck in his favorite spot. All of this came with very reasonable rates.

This is the best Vet clinic in town Dr. Ramsel and all of the staff are caring and helpful. They have taken care of Joey since his rescue and he needed extra things over and above what HSPPR allows for. Prior to my getting Joey I had Bear my Newfoundland, and the care was outstanding. When Bear got Cancer at age 11 they took him and helped him until He had to go to sleep. Bears favorite place was his bed in the back of my car and that is where he was put to sleep with my arms wrapped around him. The best Vet Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Both my mom and I take our pets too Cooks. I have taken two of my cats to them and they have treated them with great care. They always tell me exactly what is going on with my animals and do what is necessary for my cats health and well being. And to top it off their prices are great and the care your animals will receive is outstanding. These women do what they can to make you and more importantly your pets feel welcome and taken care of when you walk in that door. It is indeed, the number one place I would recommend for pet owners.

How is the truth a conflict of interest maam? You make people come in and work while they are sick and injured, endangering clients, patients, employees and yourself. Seems to me that asking google to delete my post is an admission of guilt. The conflict of interest comes when you endanger others to line your pockets maam. You have the opportunity to do the right thing, Seems to me your time is wasted doing anything else, you are an educated woman, no excuse You know how to contact me should you choose to be a stand up human being.

The Vetrinarians, assistants, and receptionists all truly care about our animals. I appreciate that when my animals just need vaccines I am not charged for a visit with the Vet, I am only charged for the vaccines. When I call with questions they always take their time and answer them thoroughly. The receptionists are quite knowledgeable, helpful, caring, and professional. I have price compared and their prices are in the lower to average range. I recommend this office to friends often! I am grateful I found them.
