Dr. Chai and Dr. Toms are fantastic vets and care deeply about their patients and owners. Ive been to two other vets in Castle Rock and finally got fed up with waiting 2-3 weeks to see a doc and having hours that I had to work around. Then when I got into the room (after usually waiting 45 minutes), I was given 15 minutes and ushered out. I found Blue Spruce after seeing that they had recently opened up a new practice. I was a little worried after my first visit since there werent any other customers. Over the past 2 years, Ive watched them grow leaps and bounds but not lose the customer service that is so important for a vet. Ill give two examples. My dog split his toe nail on a Sunday morning hike and was bleeding pretty good. Normally, Id have to go the DougCo Emergency Vet and pay outrageous fees. Blue Spruce was open and took me right in that Sunday afternoon to get my dogs nail trimmed and bandaged. Dr. Chai even called me 3 days later to see how he was doing and when I brought my dog in later that week for a checkup, no charge. Another time, my dog had a problem with his eye and I called Monday morning. Monday afternoon, not only was my dog looked at but since it was so close to his annual visit, they gave him all of his shots at that time as well. No 2nd visit, no additional cost. Dr. Tom even called a couple of days later to see how he was doing. I wish my own doctor did that for me. You cant go wrong with Blue Spruce. Caring doctors, excellent staff, clean office and easy to get to location. You cant ask for anymore than that. Plus, they have a really cool live iguana hanging out.

We love this clinic for our 3 dogs. They are very caring and knowledgeable. We love that they have hours on Saturday and Sunday, because it seems that issues always arise at inconvenient times. I also love that they sit on the floor with me and the dogs, and they do all they can to make the visit stress-free for the dogs. The receptionists are wonderful - they understand how to shuffle pets and people around. It looks effortless, because there is rarely anyone sitting around in the waiting room. They generally usher our group into a room quickly, which is a sign of a well-run office. The doctors are all wonderful. Weve seen all 3 docs with our group, and the dogs love all of them. We had a special case with one dog who needed the full "fast-kill" heartworm treatment. Being in CO, the docs dont generally see heartworm cases. They consulted with some specialists in Denver, and they were able to treat my girl! The cost was less than it wouldve been at most other places, and the best part is that she is heartworm free. Their caring treatment was so appreciated! We are so glad to have found Blue Spruce!

Moved back to CO late spring, needed new vet for my dogs. Blue Spruce highly recommended on the Nextdoor app. I needed a quick appointment for one of my dogs with two different major issues. Both issues have been, and are being taken care of. My dog is now pretty pain-free and improving daily. The staff is incredible, from the receptionist to the vet tech, to the vets! Ive had numerous phone calls from my vet (Dr. Onuma) checking on my dog relating to his reactions to the meds, to checking his well being after surgery! From my first visit with Dr. Onuma, I was so impressed. I was sitting on the floor in the office with my dog & she came in & sat on the floor with us as she examined him to see what was going on. She explains everything & asks questions & listens to my concerns. Highly, highly recommend Blue Spruce! I havent worked with the other two vets, but I understand they are just as outstanding! Very relieved that I went to Blue Spruce, my dogs are my babies!

This place shows a total lack of compassion towards your pet. I brought my dog in because she was sick and needed to be treated right away. Instead I was greeted with an unconcerned staff of 3 (one vet and two desk jockeys). Desk jockeys never asked for my dogs name or what was wrong with her. Instead was only concerned that she did not have an appointment. Not once came around her desk to check on my dog nor bother make any more eye contact or conversation with me. Mind you we were the only ones there. Never got to see the vet, because she was on lunch. Thats all fine and dandy but she proceeded to walk through an empty room besides us, she ignored us and walked right through without acknowledging our presents. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If you want the best treatment for your pet drive 4 minutes down the road to VCA Douglas County Animal Hospital.

Dr. Chai and the staff at Blue Spruce are wonderful! Extremely clean office and exam rooms. I have two very timid dogs that hate going to the vet - but the calm and friendly atmosphere definitely helps. Dr. Chai and the techs are very knowledgeable and patiently answer all my questions. Prices are very affordable and there is never any pressure to purchase unneeded products or medical tests. Great office hours - I dont need to take time off work to take my dogs to their appointments. Ive used another vet clinic in the area, and was extremely disappointed. Was rushed in and out and the price was ridiculously high. I recently moved out of Castle Rock, but will happily drive the extra hour to continue my dogs care at Blue Spruce. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Highly recommend their services!

We first learned of Blue Spruce at the Buddy Center a few weeks ago after adopting a cat(Tubs). They were very professional and very personable. We had talked about taking our dog(Millie) because we felt very comfortable after our visit with Tubs. We have used Banfield for almost 6 years since our dog was a puppy. We just recently went to get her shots and they requested for her to stay the day. When we drop her off after checking in they refused to take her because she lunged at them the last visit. We had never been informed of this before! We switched Millie to Dr. Tom and WOW! We had no issues with Millie, they had us wait till the coast was clear and she walked right in. They took her back gave her shots and came back in with no issues! I would recommend Blue Spruce to all my friends!

I am new to Castle Rock. Found Blue Spruce via Yelp and am very happy I did. It is in a great location in Castle Rock. I have 2 medium size dogs, 12 years and 5 years. They both are current on vaccines, but I wanted to get established with a vet as soon as possible in our new town. Dr. Onuma was very friendly and thorough with both dogs (on separate visits) for an introductory visit. She remembered details about each dog and gave helpful suggestions for medications they are currently on. Megan, the technician is also very and caring and friendly. Kiley is great over the phone and in person. She gives great service, even when calls are ahead of you. She is very welcoming and friendly at the front desk. Im glad to have Blue Spruce for our pets.
