Dr. Eva Strube has been my holistic optometrist for 30 years. She worked in conjunction with my other holistic optometrist as I undertook a specialized holistic prescription reduction program. As a result, my vision has not gotten appreciable worse in the past 30 years. Recently, she noticed a disturbing trend in my vision field tests enough to be concerned to send me to a specialist. Her hunch was absolutely correct as I was subsequently diagnosed with Low Tension Glaucoma (LTG), which is very hard to detect and even harder to treat. I was prescribed glaucoma eye drops and undertook a self-prescribed holistic nutrition program high in antioxidants (super nutrition for the eyes/brain). After one year of treatment, Dr. Robert Prouty, at Omni Eye Specialists, has certified I have neutralized the degradation of my optic nerve from the LTG and my vision has stabilized. Thank you, Dr. Strube, for saving my eyesight with your expert early diagnosis.

I first came to Avenue Vision when my sons teacher noticed issues with his reading. Dr. Strube performed a vision evaluation that was much more in depth than any other one I had seen done. She took into account several factors with his sight. We then started seeing Inez at Brain Sensory Integration for vision therapy. She is housed in the same location so its very convenient. She is amazing! I saw so many changes in his abilities and confidence I have since brought the rest of my family to see Dr. Borden in the Avenue Vision office. He is very personable and performs in depth eye exams that really make me feel like Im getting the best treatment out there. I cant say enough good things about the knowledge, professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff at Avenue Vision. I highly recommend them!

My son was referred to Avenue Vision and Dr. Bordon last spring. Hed always been a very smart kid but was starting to struggle in school. All of his screening vision exams showed him to have 20/20 vision and he could hit a 60 mph fastball in 4th grade. I thought "why in the WORLD are we getting his eyes checked?" Lo, and behold, he was diagnosed with exotropia and convergence insufficiency. He now has glasses and spent the summer doing vision therapy (Inez Roseth is a GENIUS by the way...). My son, just this week, came home from school and said "mom, why did they decide to make 6th grade so EASY?" 5 stars arent enough to convey just how grateful we are for Avenue Vision!!!

Avenue vision was amazing!!! All of the staff were super helpful and not only provided great customer service but also provided great education as well. The exam itself was actually fun! My eyes were examined much more thoroughly than the target/Costco eye exams I was used to... Dr Borden spent the time to educate me on my eye health and listened to any questions/concerns I had. Great experience! Will definitely refer my friends and be back. So happy to have them in Golden close to home!

For 10 years I went from doctor to doctor, hoping to find someone who could give me the correct prescription for my eyes. My search stopped with Dr. Strube!! I loved the way she spent time with me and really listened. I used to wear my contacts for one activity and then trade between different glasses for other activities. Now, I finally have contact lenses that I wear from the time I get up until I go to bed, and I dont even think about them.

I have been going to the eye doc for 15 years. Had my 1st appt with Dr Joe Borden and I must say I learned more about my eyes than I ever have! He performed so many simple yet very relevant tests that Im surprised I have never had before. He even took a picture of the inside of my eye and walked me through what he saw. If you are looking for quality eye care this is the place! I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Dr.Borden was fantastic. He took the time to explain everything he was doing to me, and I feel that my exam was extremely thorough. My prescription is spot on and I couldnt be happier. They have all of the newest technology which even included a digital image of my ocular nerve. Pretty amazing stuff, he was able to inform me that I might have slight cholesterol due to the image. Highly recommended!

In addition, Dr. Borden is very transparent-- at my appointment, he showed me pictures of my eyes and explained in full detail about my eye health.
