I have been seeing Dr. Baran for over 4 years. I drive almost an hour each way to see him. He is kind, professional and LISTENS to his patients... Yes, a doctor who listens. It is rare. But I have been fortunate enough to find one of the few who doesnt glance at your chart and give some textbook answer and send you on your way. A previous review said they were turned away due to medications her husband takes . I find that to be surprising, but with the way the government is getting on doctors for prescribing pain medications, it could be a case of new medical regulations as I can not see Dr. Baran turning anyone away. Another review said there is always a wait. Is there a doctors office (especially one with doctors who dont rush appointments) that doesnt? I would rather wait for a doctor who wont rush me out during my appointment than have no wait for someone who just shuffles me in and out quickly. Just saying.

I was told by the receptionist that this doctor will not take a patient on because he takes pain medication, and I dont get a reasonable explanation as to why?!!! I mean I was looking for a doctor because my husband has chest pains and to possibly be referred for an EKG!!! If you cant handle the field of medicine and all that comes along with it YOU SHOULDNT PRACTICE IN THAT FIELD, on top of that the receptionist seemes pretty pleased to turn him away.My husband is a professional who is well respected in his community and was turned away by this doctor that had nothing to do with why he required medical help.My suggestion would to stay far away from this doctors office.If they cant handle a patient on pain medication what else CANT THEY HANDLE?!

Super easy to get to. Accommodating hours. Great office staff! Dr. Baran is the most down to earth doctor Ive yet to meet. He sits with you and listens to you, REALLY listens, like hes a human being with feelings, not a doctor who is just out to write scripts and take your money. Hes so kind, and caring and completely deserving of his newest award for most outstanding doctor in Plainville.
