I strongly discourage you from seeing Dr Shender or interacting with anyone in their office if it can at all be avoided. The receptionist is extremely rude, unhelpful, and frankly not very intelligent. A typical "read from the script and dont use your brain" type of interaction (sad to say that this is typical of working with reception at doctors offices). When I stated my displeasure, he said to me "Ive seen youve visited our office all of 1 time in your life, yes you will be a huge loss to the practice". Factually, correct, but what the fellow clearly fails to grasp is that I was a new customer with a family and friends in the area also look for recommendations on a primary care doctor. The loss is not just me, it is the network that comes with any new business. Other examples of poor service from the staff include: phone calls not returned, difficulty in making appointments for annual physical, and long wait time at the office. Further, my first appointment with the doctor I was ill and had just returned from South Africa. I mentioned this to her in the context of making sure she was aware in the event I had contracted an illness like Maleria....she laughed at me. Literally laughed at me when I told her that, saying there was "no way I had Maleria".....after being on a safari in South Africa. I agree it would have been a rare thing to contract, but certainly not laughable. Turns out she was right but the point is that a doctor shouldnt laugh at you for asking a question about your health. Needless to say I will not be going back and I will make sure no one that I know goes there either.

I have to say that the word "doctor" has changed drastically in the past decade, and many so-called doctors forget what it really means. Anna is a true epitome of a true doctor - truly caring, extremely knowledgeable, best ethics and upstanding bedside manners. Anna has been treating my family for years. When my now 11-year-old son, Gabriel, had an accident last year, and I rushed with him to Greenwich hospital, Anna went out of her way to personally be there for surgery (!!!), and stayed by his bedside for hours and hours, ensuring everything goes smoothly. That gesture was way beyond the "usual call of duty". Anna is always there for us, to lend her Unbiased, professional advice. There should be more doctors in the world like her!

Dr. Shender is the best! She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and has great bed side manner. I noticed bad review, as I was googling her name for my co-worker and felt compelled to respond. I know that this review is dishonest, because Ive been a patient for over ten years and never had to wait more than ten minutes. Ive already recommended her to numerous family members, friends and co-workers, all of them are very happy with her. Im very happy with my choice and I highly recommend her.

Everything you want when you are looking for a doctor. The office is clean, well run and efficient. Ive never waited more than 5 minutes. The doctor is very sharp and well respected in medical community. I was referred to several specialists and all of them spoke very highly of her. Im very happy with a level of care I get and would recommend her to others.

Dr. Shender has treated me for a long time. She is a great diagnostician! Theres always a thorough examination, and only a test or two are ordered, mainly for a confirmation. Other doctors lack such skills.
