I went here for the first time last week and will never go back. The nurse was nice and seemed knowledgeable, but the doctor just seemed radical and a bit crazy. His only solution after looking at me for less than 5 seconds was "Accutane!" Oh, and by the way, you cant even have that until you eat antibiotics for at least 2 months and when you start Accutane you have to go to the office for blood tests every 2 months. Not once did he ask about my lifestyle, stress, diet or offer any natural solutions. The office doesnt even have light therapy so I dont know what is so "Advanced" about it. This place is a drug mill and isnt interested in either listening to you or trying to solve your problems naturally or in a way youre comfortable with. Indeed he even said, "the only way is Accutane and its a miracle drug!" Oh, yeah? They why would I have to go to your office for visits every 2 months for blood tests when I take Accutane? Oh, right...because thats how you make money. Save yours, go somewhere else.

Full Disclosure: I havent been to this place in about a year. But I did visit twice and, since its time for another visit, was looking for a new Dr when this place popped back up. I usually dont leave reviews, but both of my previous visits were extremely underwhelming. Ive seen two different doctors and both times, they were short and seemed completely disinterested in what I had to say (cutting me off, answering a question before I was done asking, recommending prescriptions before looking at me, etc.) I was prescribed 4 different prescriptions (2 on 1st visit, 2 different one on the 2nd visit) for the same ongoing skin condition. Both doctors said different things about the same affliction and both said different things than the nurses(?) that saw me before the doctor came in. So based on this, I would recommend you look elsewhere.

I was forced to pay $ 218. at the time of my visit. Before my insurance payment protion went through. The secretary said she knew how much I owed after insurance. It took over a month to get the paper work from my insurance which confirmed I had been over billed and over paid by $74.00. Im very upset about this. Ive never had to pay up front like that at any other doctors office. Beware! The Doctor was great. The office policy sucks!!!

I have been with Advanced Dermotology for a few years. I am very pleased with the care I receive. Dr Mauch and the Dr before him were very kind and willing to explain everything. I will miss Dr Mauch as he has moved on to another area.

The Dr is not professional and not helpful. They have terrible billing practices! I would never go back. I would avoid any of the Advanced Dermatology locations!
