My son has been going here for several years and I also transferred my daughter to this practice so they could go to the same office. My visit today has totally changed my view of this practice. I made appointment for my son who has been running a fever and miserable for 3 days over the holiday weekend. I show up at my appointment time and Im told that I didnt have an appointment. I was sitting there waiting w/ my son who has the chills and feels really bad and Im asked to come back 2 hours later because they have no appointments available. I explain that I have to be at work soon and my son is sick so I really cant wait 2 more hours to come back in (I drove 20+ minutes over there already). Then Im questioned as if I had not made an appointment, and was asked who I spoke with. Well I didnt write down the name, I was just concerned with getting my son seen. My biggest issue is the attitude from the receptionist which made me feel extremely unwelcome there. I showed them my phone where I had dialed their number for an appointment that morning, and again the receptionists were rude to me. Whats wrong with just being apologetic and kind when YOUR office made the mistake of telling me I had an 11:45 appointment when they had not put me on the schedule?? Instead they rushed us back and did the entire appointment in less than 5 minutes! No one showed any concern for how terrible my son was feeling, and they hardly checked him out thoroughly enough in the few minutes we were there. The nurse was short with me. Dr. Smith talked so fast I could barely keep up with what he was saying and then just handed me a script and was gone. The entire visit from dealing with the receptionists being rude, then the staff being frustrated b/c they had to see my sick son when apparently they didnt have time. The nurse & Dr. rushing the appointment in literally minutes to get us out of there. I really just didnt feel they had my sons best interest in mind, nor were they in the least bit apologetic that they made a mistake by telling me to come at a time when they had no time to see my child. Im totally frustrated and Im not sure I will be going back. I work in the veterinary field at a busy office, I would never be allowed to treat my clients the way I was treated today and Im dealing with people and their pets. This is my son! Ugh..where is the management here?

This place is horrible and believe it should be shut down. First we had to wait an hour before being seen past appointment time. They did not have any toys for children to play with. No books for them to read. Tv had no children shows on it. So what happens when u have a bored child? Have other kids running around coughing on everyone. Saw one 12 year old child laying on a bench outside barfing in a bag at the entrance. In the hot sun. Go into the examination rooms and they have leaky pipes wrapped with a towel around it. That is not the worst of it. You have doctors like Carlos cano who prescribes adult medication to children of the age of 12. His excuse? Shes overweight. Reguardless of weight she still has a childs brain. We went back and demanded a presription for a child and he refused. We will be sueing. He responded by telling us to not come back. Do not go to this place if you care for your childs life.. If it wasnt for our insurance denying coverage because it was medication for an adult we may of harmed our child giving it to her!

ATTENTION!!! This place is HORRIBLE.Stay away for this place. I have 4 children that I have been taking their for 1 1/2 years. Their doctors are decent but their accounting department is horrible. Infact they are not only horrible but they are crooks. They have been overcharging me ( and not without argument but your sick child cant be seen otherwise). All they can say is prove it so when I did they still refuse to pay back my money. And when you are a mother of 4 kids 700.00 is alot of money. It makes me wonder how many people a year they do this to. They are making a fortune just by being dishonest. What a trashy way to do business. Please mothers if you go against my warnings at least watch your money because they will say anything to get it. If you are on the search for a pediatrician please do not go here. They have lost my business with 4 children and will continue to take different avenues to have them return the money that is rightfully mine. NEVER AGAIN!!

I just got home from work and found Dom in the same place that I left him this morning. My sister says he hasnt moved, eaten or drank all day. I called suncoast pediatrics and explained the situation, they told me to bring him on in. I get here and notice how full the waiting room is. I ask the nurse what time they close today "50 mins ago" she says. Clearwater pediatrics would never continue seeing kids after theyre closed. They dont care about their patients or the patients families in the least. I love you suncoast and every amazing thing you have done for my family. (My today goes to Clearwater ped due to insurance issues and I hate it. I cant wait to get him switched over)

I went to this pediatrician when I was a child and decided to bring my daughter there. The receptionist are rude and treat you with little respect. The older nurses seem to care but the younger nurses are careless. They almost double vaccinated my daughter until I told her no she had that shot already. The doctors are great but the receptionist need a lesson in customer service. We will never go back there because for the first year of my daughters life the staff was rude other than one nurse, one lady when you check out and the doctors.

Transferred all of my children to Community Health Center in Clearwater, as the office is closer to our home. CHC is a nightmare, where Suncoast Pediatrics treated my entire family respectfully, were timely, and efficient. The doctors always made my children laugh, and were genuinely caring in their practice. The girls at the reception desk are the most wonderful ladies I have ever encountered at a health facility. Will be taking my children back very soon!!!! Thank you Suncoast for all the hard work and patience!!!!

no one there takes the time to get to know your child. i have three children thawent there since they were 5 years old and actually the youngest has been going there since she was born shes now 12 and her brother is 19 and sister 22 and every time weve been in there they treat them like they have never been there before like its there first time ever i cant believe it it actually has hurt my childrens feelings like they dont matter thisbis the whole staff receptionists nurses and doctors what a shame

They told me in the beginning that it was my choice if I wanted to vaccinate or not, then when my son turned 4 they sent home a nasty, nasty letter about me not vaccinating him. I signed and returned it. Then my son got sick, I took him in and they said it was viral and I had to just let it pass. It started to get worse so I kept calling and no one would return my phone call. I finally took him to get a 2nd opinion and my baby had FLUID in his lungs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
