I used* to love going to dr. Doolins office but as of lately, shes been awful. Beth Patel usually takes care of me and shes always been great but this most recent time I went to Dr. Doolin wanting birth control and to talk about a thyroid issue I thought I may have. When I got to the appointment, I waited 30 minutes in the lobby. Then when I was brought to the room I waited another 10. When she finally came in, she was rushed and took no longer than 5 minutes to take down my symptoms. She ordered me to have a blood test and said she would write my a prescription for birth control. We never once talked about what type of birth control I wanted, if I wanted my period, if I wanted the shot/implant/pill. She didnt even give me the name of it, she didnt tell me when to start it. Nothing. I was pretty upset I self paid $75 for a 5 minute visit that got my no where. Then had to pay another $110 for blood tests and another $40 for birth control. She said she recommends me going to get it from Walmart since its cheaper (even though cvs is my pharmacy) and I agreed. She assured me the generic version would be no more than $12. I get to Walmart, and the pharmacy tech said she called in the regular form of BC, not the generic like she said she would. Then told me I had to pay $60 for it. Meanwhile, ANOTHER office assistant calls me AND my grandmother (not a clue why?) to tell me the same information another office assistant gave me 2 days prior! SUPER unorganized if you ask me? Finally I tell the pharmacist to give me the generic brand and she tells me the cheapest they have of the generic is $60 but will apply a discount for my troubles. I ended up paying close to $50 for it. Beth Patel at Dr. Doolins office seems to be the only one who cares and makes sure things are done right. The office assistants and Dr. Doolin just want to get you in and out as quick as possible to get their paychecks. They dont care whatsoever about the misinformation they give or the state of their patients. Look elsewhere or schedule with Beth Patel.

Trying to find a new dr since I moved to the area, wrong number on the UHC site, when I got the office, couldnt figure out if/when the person answering the phone was talking to me because she was carrying on other conversations, then was put on hold, maybe transferred, not sure. Had chosen the option to "make a sick appt for that day" (ear infection), and chose docs accepting new patients on the UHC search, but was then told that there were no new patient appts until November. Receptionist was rude and blamed the incorrect information online on UHC. Not impressed...

Beth Patel, ARNP and Dr. Dina Doolin - amazing practitioners and truly care about patients. They are more than "healthcare providers", they provide support and give you a determination to get better. Denice (their office manager) is fabulous ad works hard to oversee the practice rom an administrative standpoint. She then, in addition to her position in the practice, helps advance the practice by stepping in and UP to get the patients issues handled so Ms. Patel and Dr. Doolin can focus on their main goal: getting patients better!!!
