I have been a patient there for twenty and some years. Ive had no problems in the past. I called about 3 weeks before my appt that was sched. on 9/23 to change providers. I was told that the Dr. I was requesting needed to view my records and someone would call me back. Well 2 weeks later no call and I called back. No record found was asked who I spoke with, asked me to hold on then hung up. I called back, and was about to be told the same thing as I was the first time I called and was told "oh no Im not going to take you through that, Ill just change it now". I had to reschedule appt. date to 20th, no problem. Now I had an episode with vertigo 11/2 and called to leave a message for nurse or Dr. on 11/3 to see if I may need to come in for an evaluation since I had an episode in April. As of today 11/7/2016 I have not had a call. I had called back on 11/4 to see what the turn around time is for a call to be returned and was told 24 to 48 hrs. I believe my call was not recorded as the first time. The operators I believe have problems taking the calls.

I loved my Dr but was treated like dirt by the front office staff. I showed up at 12:40 for a 1:30 appt. The clerk informed me that I was early. I said I understood and I had new insurance so wanted to be early. She huffed and said well they arent even here. Again, I said I understood and was ok waiting. I asked if she wanted to take my new insurance now. I handed her the card and she said in a very hateful tone that they dont take my insurance. I asked why as I always had BCBS. She informed me that they dont honor "marketplace" insurance and said they hate to lose patients but I should rethink this. I told her I needed a prescription refill and asked how much the appt would be. She informed me of the price and I said I would wait. She said nothing. I came back a few minutes later and cancelled my appt. There are plenty of doctors in the Carolinas with friendlier staff.

This is not a review of the doctors. I have visited Dr. Tuttle, and he is a very good doctor. I will recommend him for sure. My concern is more with the way Novant Healthcare is running the business. Since their purchase of the office, charges have increased, and they are no longer transparent. Just the other day, for instance, I received a bill for a regular flue shot for $75! This same flue shot retails for no more than $25 at most pharmacy stores. When the staff offered me the shot, I was not warned that it might not be covered by my insurance, and, of course the price was not available at that time. Now I am stuck with this ridiculously overpriced procedure, three times more expensive than the market rate! So, be aware of the charges of procedures charged by Novant; be sure to ask of the cost, and check if the procedures are covered by your insurance.

Took my wife there for back pain . My wife has cancer, but the back pain has nothing to do with the cancer.. Dr would not write her any prescriptions for pain, says he does pain management,He said call hospice There pretty good at money management taking copay even though deductable is met, he also ordered lab work last year and the white cell count was off, told her she must of had an infection, ordered no more test, found out two months later it was cancer.i wont mention the doctors name, but if you have cancer and go there all hes going to do is tell you to call hospice.Drs like you are why people have no faith in healthcare.

This place doesnt care about people. .. if you live or die.. I called to get an emergency appointment because it hurts to breathe I may possibly have pneumonia. Sorry cant see you for 3 weeks. I said I cant breathe. Sorry go somewhere else... try emergency clinic. So basically if youre still alive in 3 weeks then we will see you.. REALLY?!!

We have favorite doctors to visit, all are good doctors, but some have better bedside manners than others. Some front staff could have more personality and smiles, nurses are wonderful and lab personnel are great. No pain when blood is drawn. Highly recommended. Have been a patient for over 20 years.

I love Dr. Tuttle! I have seen him since I was a child and every visit I just feel I get more and more personal attention. I think a lot of doctors offices are getting bad raps now but he still continues to provide excellent medical care in a warming environment!
