I was a patient of Doctor Greenspoon for about 18 months before having 2 knee replacements. Initially he advised me to wait until I was ready but that I would need to have full replacements. When I didn’t want to deal with the pain any longer I met with him and we scheduled my replacement procedures 3 weeks apart. I was impressed with the overall coordination between Dr. Greenspoon, his staff, and the hospital. Everything was explained in detail, reviewed, and information given in hard copies. I attended the class with my “coach” about a month prior to surgery which also informed my daughter of what to expect. Surgery was performed at Viera hospital and the staff there was wonderful. They knew what to expect and were always one step ahead of what I could request. Nursing staff was well trained and knew exactly what Dr. Greenspoon wanted to happen during the two day hospital staff. Of course physical therapy was an important part of recovery from surgery and again the staff at Viera HF were ready, willing, and able to get me on my feet and doing the exercises properly while always having time to answer questions. My hospital rehab was with 3 other patients who had surgery same day, so lots of bonding. I elected to do my physical therapy at Dr. Greenspoon’s office although it meant a thirty minute drive. I felt it would be worth it if I had any problems to have the doctor and PA’s right there. Pam and Dan have been my therapist and they worked closely to make sure I am regaining my range and walking without any limp. After both surgeries while I was in the hospital I was visited by Dr. Greenspoon daily, his PA, Steve, at least once and day and usually twice, and the anesthesiologist daily. Whenever I had a question I could get an answer when I went to Dr. Greenspoon’s office for PT or by contacting his PA, Jeff by email. Today is 7 weeks from my first replacement surgery, 4 weeks from the second replacement surgery and I walked over the Melbourne Causeway 2 miles. During my recovery I had little pain, some discomfort and PT is not any fun but when it’s over you know you are making strides. If you need to have this procedure done I highly recommend Dr. Greenspoon, his entire staff and Viera Heath First Hospital.

I asked why he wouldn’t allow me an appointment I was told repeatedly that the doctor did not have to give me a reason. After a little more persistence I was told that the doctor is diagnosing me with sciatica based on a note of “possible bursitis” he saw on the referral. I asked if I could just talk to Dr. Greenspoon so he could explain to me his diagnosis. The office agreed to ask the doctor. The next day the office called me back and I was told that he is still refusing to talk to me and that he does not have to give me a reason for his findings. Because Dr. Greenspoon refused to talk to me I researched the area of my hip pain and I am not seeing a correlation between the iliac crest pain (my area of pain) and sciatica pain. But I am not a doctor and perhaps there is a correlation. I just wish Dr. Greenspoon would have used common courtesy and given me a few minutes of his time to explain his findings.

I pretty much broke both knees in a rollerblading accident. The doctor I was referred to at Health First kept sending me to more and more physical therapy even thought I kept telling him it was making the pain worse. I finally got a second opinion with Dr Greenspoon and he told me a simple surgery would fix me up. He did a wonderful job and I have no complaints. I am now 100% pain free! I would recommend him to anyone.

I felt very disappointed with my consultation visit concerning pain in my knee. He was in a big hurry to leave the room. He is to busy and lacking in compassion for me. I will find another doctor.
